My own book 2 ;)
I suppose, like everyone, I am watching Mr. Martin, to see if he can finish his Game of Thrones series. Otherwise, I am not sure enough about what is coming out to have a strong opinion.

I'm already imagining those poor couriers, exhausted from xmas delivery madness, getting too little reprieve before they have to come to us all over the world to deliver our Onyx Storm pre-ordered copies :D

Who is, without a shadow of a doubt, the greatest living writer of fantasy fiction.

Well...after many months of no contact, my cover artist has returned. It seemed she had to recover from Cancer treatments...and, as it happens, I am currently suffering through cancer treatments, so we have that in common.
I am excited. I was really wondering if she had ghosted me. I love her artwork, and dont want to have to find another.
Anyway...when I get the cover...I am looking forward to my next book coming out...The Promise of Eternity.
~Coming soon~ I hope :)

Who is your cover artist, if you don't mind sharing? Would love to look at her portfolio.

Teresa jenellen. I love her work, and am super happy she accepted my offer to be my cover artist.
And I hope many others make her famous as well....but not if they steal her away and leave me hanging ;)

Since I am on the subject, and not a lot else is going up on the boards, I will say...
I've always loved water colors (maybe Frazetta did that), and definitely wanted a look that was its own style and not run of the mill. I wanted a pallet of grey and purple, and I wanted someone who could capture the stares and look and attitude of the subjects.
I showed her some sample covers I liked (I always liked the Elric of Menlibone covers cause they showed so much texture in them). And I envisioned something like the art of the Child of Light video game, which is a game done entirely in computerized water colors.
Teresa just stood alone in that when I was looking for artists. What sold me was her picture of the battered woman...cause I knew if she would make a picture like that, she would not filter her art to make something look better than it was. I wanted something that looked like someone really cared to get it right.
What I did not want is some chick on the cover with light behind her head, which seems to be the run of the mill today. I also have a rule now. No CGI...No AI. I want a real artist doing real art.
I had some things Teresa needed to adjust (and maybe some she still does) but she did not complain, she just did it and made it right.
I have big plans for her, I hope she's got the bandwidth for it. (And I hate to say, but my only real complaint is she charged me too little... Shhhh...)

Good choice! It's a beautiful cover. Distinctive.
