Damn, just one? That's just brutal. Ermmm .... tbh I would Powerless by Lauren Roberts but I just might take The Blood Traitor #3 in The Prison Healer by Lynette Noin
Idk if this counts but the Bible, if that doesn’t count then a really long book like journey to the west or something rereadable like Mere Christianity
What a fun question! I'd take a big Norton anthology of literature so that I had access to many different stories.

The Lord of the Rings complete trilogy. It's what got me into reading fantasy stories. I've re-read it many times and never tire of it.

Complete works of Shakespeare - I even have a copy (unread in its entirety)... that might be the time to settle down and take in the Bard.

That's what I was thinking! Complete Works of Shakespeare! It's the only singular entity I can imagine keeping me company for the rest of my life...

Unrelated, somewhat, but about 25 years ago we were playing a game at Thanksgiving, whole family, 20ish of us, were sitting around the diningroom table. My mom would ask questions and everyone would write an answer. One question was..."if you were stranded on a deserted island, what two things would you want to have?" All answers would get collected and then read off, and everyone would try to figure out who wrote each answer. Most had logical answers, water, flare gun, TP, etc. But one was..."Britney Spears and a Britney Spears lookalike" Well, lowandbehold, it was my oldest son's answer (he was 15). Thought, 'boy, the nut didn't fall to far from the tree afterall'...lol.To stay on topic...Probably Anna Katrina (although l've read it already)
id probably take War & Peace. Just read it recently, its so freaking good, and there so much to devour. But I think it would be funny to learn how to build bookcases in my free time.
