Your both correct!!
Thors hammer (Mjolnir) can only be lifted by those worthy of it. CA is able to lift it in one of the movies (when they all try to lift it) and he moves it a bit. Then in infinity war, CA and Thor use Mjonlir and the axe to fight Thanos.
Also yes, Hela destroys his hammer too.
