I'm happy to say the add books requests are down to 5,392 from 6687 in only 1 month. Not bad when there are only about 20 librarians working on these books. Remember, librarians are not paid employees. They donate their time to doing this in between jobs, family, grocery shopping, yardwork, laundry, and everything else that life requires.
BTW: Your book was added on December 14 but when requests are "Open" they have to receive a reply. In future, when you request a book and see at some point that the book has been added then edit your request and in the dropdown menu select the Closed folder and move your request there. Thanks!
