What is the title, author, and your current rating out of 5 stars for the book you're reading. Why does it earn that rating from you?

Ariadne by Jennifer Saint 4/5. I like a Greek Myth retold from a different perspective-- this follows that pattern. It was a little hard to get in to but now that I'm about halfway it's picking up pace. I'm listening to it on audible at night though, so I keep falling asleep, which makes it difficult to totally follow what's going on.

message 3: by Tiger (new)

Tiger Whitebird | 3 comments The book The Trails of Apollo by Rick Riordan has a 5/5 rating. Its easy to follow, interesting, and very immersive. Once you get into the book its hard to look away, each action made by the characters has meaning and you can tell that the series has been carefully planned out because of the way the plot connects to the previous book or something that has happened earlier in the story. Overall, the details, plot, and the captivating style of writing allow this book to be a 5/5.

message 4: by Tanner (new)

Tanner Swearingen | 4 comments Code of Honor by Alan Grantz 4. I like more war and action books and this is definitely one of those books. it was real easy for me to get into it because it's just the type of book I like. This book is about an older brother who's been "brain washed" by terrorists while at war for the United States.

message 5: by Piper (new)

Piper Eggleston | 3 comments If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin, 4/5. This book is about 2 childhood best friends who soon fall apart due to them changing. Autumn has her group and Finny has his group. Although, due to their mothers being best friends and being neighbors these two see each other all the time. This book is told in Autumns point of view, seeing her own side to the story.

message 6: by Jayden (new)

Jayden Faircloth | 3 comments King Of Pride by Ana Huang 5/5 the plot keeps on going and there’s always something happening, I love the trope of opposites attract it fits very nicely for this book, If I could buy it and read it new again I definitely would, The series is easy to get into and is definitely enjoyable to the eye ☺️

Sahara Kramer | 3 comments Johanna wrote: "What is the title, author, and your current rating out of 5 stars for the book you're reading. Why does it earn that rating from you?"

I started reading a book I forgot the name though and I got half way through and got bored but it was still pretty good and then I started reading Animal Farm by George Orwell which I'll rate a 4 out of 5.

message 8: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Webb | 3 comments Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton, I give this book a 4/5 because it's written well, entertaining, and doesn't use many complex words that are hard to understand. It has an interesting plot and good materials in it. Its not too hard to follow along and it's genuinely a good book.

message 9: by Olivia (new)

Olivia Ocumpaugh | 3 comments Circe by Madeline Miller 2/5. It is a Greek story retold, it was hard to get into the book, and it made no sense at certain parts. I thought that the characters made silly choices to the point it was not enjoyable for me.

message 10: by Gemma (new)

Gemma Sigl | 3 comments Ghost boy by Martin Pistorius 4/5. This is a biography about a misdiagnosed boy that was trapped inside his own body and it has touching and honest content and is an interesting read. However, I wouldn't consider 'biography' my top genre. I'd definitely recommend this book if this sort of thing is your go-to kinda book, for Martin is a very likable character/person/author.

message 11: by Ricardo (new)

Ricardo Montoya | 1 comments The book im reading is Wonder by R.J. Palacio got a 4/5 its about a kid named august that was born deformed and is just talking about his daily life and struggles he is still normal he is smart and can talk and stuff just look different and gets made fun of all the time and just has a hard time at school but his family just always let him do what he want and so 4/5

message 12: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn Jimenez | 3 comments In my personal opinion the Shining by Stephen King is a good book but unfortunately not great. That's not to say there hasn't been moments where I'm dying to know what happens next or struck with a feeling of curiosity, but I'm definitely waiting for things to pick up speed. Overall I'd give the book a three or four.

message 13: by Magdalina (new)

Magdalina Gresser | 2 comments Forget Me Not by Ellie Terry, 5/5. I love it. About Calliope June, a girl with TS(Tourette syndrome). I love the format and the story and I think it's really sad so far but I'm guessing it'll get really sweet and fluffy. :)

message 14: by Mylee (new)

Mylee Hammer | 3 comments My book is about the frog and the toad they have been friends for a long time I'm not sure how to explain this book. They carry there friendship for years, this book is easy to read and just a good book I like story's that have good friendship the frog and toad respect each other and aways get along that's why they are still friends all this book is really about is friendship.

message 15: by Rylee (new)

Rylee | 1 comments November 9 by Colleen Hoover 4/5. I like how the book has each chapter of the 2 main characters and describes their perspectives in the main key points. This book has a lot of descriptive detail that makes it easy to follow.

From Morgan:
My current ORP book is called Losing Hope, by Colleen Hoover. My current rating of this book is a 3. But I do believe it will get better the further I get into it. I’m only about 40 pages in, but so far it is telling Holder’s side of the story “Hopeless” which was the first book in this series. Losing Hope shows a second perspective and how he manages with losing Hope at a young age, and his sister Les to suicide in their teenage years.

message 17: by Paul (new)

Paul Tustin | 3 comments The name of my book is The Unwanteds Island of Fire written by Lisa McMann and I gave this book a 5/5. Though the series is long, the story is worth the time you put into these books. This book series is adventurous and keeps you on the edge of your seat with plenty of action throughout each book.

message 18: by Savannah (new)

Savannah Fisher | 1 comments The fault in our stars by John Green 9/10. it's about a girl named Hazel grace Lancaster and she has cancer and she went to this help group met Augustus waters and they fell in love. she always wanted to go to Amsterdam to see Peter Van Houten. Peter wrote an Imperial Affliction for his daughter, Anna, who died of leukemia, but Peter gave up on writing and became an alcoholic. Augustus dies because of his cancer and For Hazel, Gus's death is not simply a loss but also a reminder of her eventual death from cancer, and the distance that exists between healthy people and people with cancer even before death. This book to me earns a 9/10 because its a book that I feel like I could never be tired of. not gonna lie the movie is better though.

message 19: by Jachai (last edited Dec 09, 2024 09:34AM) (new)

Jachai Myers | 3 comments Seven Wonders: Lost in Babylon by Peter Lerangis 9/10. The story is focused around atlantian themes. The main focus is the search for these 7 loculi that were hidden at each of the seven Wonders. There are 4 characters that are all called select, there ancesters were atlantian kings/Queens. When they turn 14 the gene from the kings/Queens activates overloading them and killing them without the treatments from the KI a secret organization in search of the loculi. Overall the book is good but not the greatest only earning a 9/10.

Silas Lemley | 4 comments The Kane Chronicles book by Rick Riordan has a 4.5/5 rating b an Egyptian myth book from a different perspective. The characters are well thought out and the story is good. I'm about 3/4 through the book so far and it's easy to follow, and interesting. This is the third and last book in the trilogy and all have been interconnected and great.

message 22: by Aveja (new)

Aveja Parsley | 4 comments I'm currently reading Crank by Ellen Hopkins my rating is a 5/5 so far, it gets this rating because its a very real life story and it shows kind of how people see the world or think about the "monster" and how it effect people an changes their lives. It's just overall a great book and I plan on reading the other books in the series as well.

message 23: by Luke (new)

Luke Newman | 4 comments 4 star for unbroken because it has action it has a tale where the main character is an athlete and he goes into war then he loses a lot of things like weight food and family plus it could be an inspiring story for some people.

message 24: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Garcia | 3 comments I'm currently reading Solitaire written by Alice Oseman, I give this book a rating of 8/10, it gets confusing at times but it keeps my attention because there are some relatable points that I can relate to and that's just the type of books I read.

message 25: by Julian (last edited Dec 09, 2024 09:34AM) (new)

Julian | 4 comments The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan and I would rate it a 4/5 so far because it is full of action and incorporates a lot of Greek mythology which I am a big fan of and it has a fairly simple plot.

message 27: by Gino.Pagan (new)

Gino.Pagan | 4 comments My current ORP book is the Congo. I would rate this book an 8/10 because it has a lot of good dialogue, questions, and it describes the place and cenario very well. But sometimes it goes to indebth and kinda gets boring. But there is a whole lot more good stuff because it has monkeys talking in sign language and it has people exploring the Congo to find a lost city with diamonds and it is just really good. The author is Michael Crichton.

message 28: by Eli (new)

Eli | 3 comments Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert 5/5, it's about the Mentat Emperor Paul Atreides and him being the religious figure of his people, he finds sabotage and betrayal in his council, he has a overwhelming feeling of his failure and tries to lead his path away from the Jihad. It is a phenomenal sci-fi that is captivating and addictive to the reader, it fits my personal wants and needs from a sci-fi novel.

message 29: by Johnny (new)

Johnny Irwin | 3 comments The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks 4/5, its not as good as The Notebook but its a great story of a father trying to win back the love of his wife after forgetting their anniversary and not providing enough.

message 30: by Trustynn (new)

Trustynn Douglas | 3 comments Killer Instinct #2 in the series. Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

message 33: by Lillyauna (new)

Lillyauna | 3 comments My book is Twited Hate by Ana Huang, I am about 1/2 way through and I rate it a 3/5. It's the third book in the twisted series and is giving the story of Josh and Julia. It gives the story of them attempting to not fall in love, but are constantly given the opportunity to become altered and filled with love for each other.

message 34: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Mathweg | 3 comments I just finished the book Hold Still by Nina LeCour, I rate it a 5/5. It deserves this rating because I personally love sorrowful yet wholesome stories and this book successfully does so. The story is easy to follow and I can easily relate to the characters and understand their thoughts, actions, and feelings. The book does cover some difficult topics, but I do feel as though they cover them honestly and respectfully.

message 35: by Amber (new)

Amber Mello | 3 comments The book The Cabin by Natasha Preston has a 5/5 rating. It's easy to follow along with and its very interesting. Once I picked up the book I couldn't put it down. It's about a murder that happened at a cabin when Mckenzie and her friends stayed at their friends Josh's cabin.

Jerricho Mattoon | 3 comments Muckers by Sandra Neil Wallace
4/5
I gave it this rating because it has a good story line and is easy to follow. I also like how the author used very detailed language to build up to the climax.

message 38: by Mason (new)

Mason | 1 comments Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz 3/5 this book really isn't a book its just Scary Stories people used to tell around the campfire and get a good scare, I Think I might Switch books and read something more story based.

message 39: by Gracie (new)

Gracie Wehe | 2 comments The title is wobbit ,the Harvard lampoon I would give the book a three right now because I have not been reading it for long because I just checked this one out but I like it because it followers the story line of the book hobbit. But also I don't want to give a book if I does not catch my attention because I don't really like books or reading because I cant just sit around and read a book.

message 40: by Jaxson (new)

Jaxson Clark | 3 comments Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, I give it a 4/5. I give it a 4 out of 5 because it started out pretty slow which made it kind of hard to stay interested in. It got really interesting about half way through which made it fun to listen to. Then the end of the book got a little confusing so i'm not really sure how it ended.

message 41: by Jade (new)

Jade Buchert | 1 comments Fear street the beginning
R.L Stine

I just finished the book and I'm now reading another fear street book. Ide give it a 5 Because its the first book that I've actually ever picked up on my own and actually liked reading. I've never had a book that wasn't something I had to read that I may or may not have liked, but this book was the way I found out what kind of books I like.

message 42: by Micah (new)

Micah Fusco | 3 comments I am currently reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I would give this book a three out of five stars. The book started out really slow and almost put me asleep each time it came to reading it. But once the games started it became very entertaining and I actually began to enjoy it.

message 43: by Zoe (new)

Zoe Newman | 3 comments I am reading Always and Forever Lara Jean by Jenny Han. I would rate this book a 4/5 so far. It is a good book but I'm not that far in it yet so not a ton has happened. It is about a senior in high school, who didn't get into the same college as her boyfriend. It has humor and is overall a good book.

message 44: by Ryan (new)

Ryan Fullerton | 3 comments Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer 4/5. I enjoy stories about wilderness survival. Usually, when I read books that involve survival, the character gets in some predicament that results in them having to survive in the woods. This book is different, instead the main character willingly sells his belongings and chooses to try and survive in the Alaskan wilderness. Where I’m at in the book the main character is hitch-hiking his way to the forest.

message 45: by Ella (new)

Ella Whitaker | 3 comments Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid. This book is about two friends one’s a girl and one’s a boy. The boy really likes this girl but she only thinks of him as a friend. But throughout the story they get closer and eventually start liking each-other. I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

message 46: by Bryan (new)

Bryan | 3 comments What is the title, author, and your current rating out of 5 stars for the book you're reading. Why does it earn that rating from you?
The book I am reading is Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, The Ship Of The Dead, by Rick Riordan, and I'd give this a 5/5. To me, just the difference in the characters enough, from being gender fluent, to Muslim, to atheist, black, homeless, etc, just the characters themselves are making a big impact. Also the wording he uses to describe different scenes with his sense of humor, and the characters dialogue just brings me some joy when I'm in a low place.

message 47: by Hope (new)

Hope Meza | 3 comments The Naturals - by; Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I have rated my book a 5/5 because I love mystery books or crime like books because I like to be curious a little and a little drama aside from the criminal activities. It has earned a 5/5 for me because so far I am at a point where everything is starting to happen and getting interesting, it looks like there's a little romance or people liking others which I like a little romance here and there, but its mainly crime and mystery crimes. I love this book and I will be continuing reading this author and she is very good.

message 48: by Gunner (new)

Gunner Bryan | 2 comments The Science of Fear by Daniel Gardner. This book is a philosophical, science book that goes over the science of why humans fear and question the things we do. The book goes over sensitive subjects whether it be ideological beliefs about religions or online human trafficking. It gives a deep dive into the mind of a lot interesting characters and even talks about stereotypes. The book is great! 8.5/10

message 49: by Eva (new)

message 50: by Tyler (new)
