If I'm intimidated by a book I listen to the audiobook. Maas's writing style is actually pretty easy to read/follow. I recommend ACOTAR first.
Haunting Adeline! Don’t get me wrong I’ve been reading some real dark romances but I’m just scared to pick this one up
Monster in disguise by veronica lancet (it is banned on Amazon because of the contents being extremely dark) Though I'll still give it a shot later!

And let me tell you, it *did not disappoint*! I went in skeptical but came out absolutely loving the plot. Like, *seriously*, the twists and turns had me hooked! And if you're wondering about the romance and spice... whew, it's a solid 4.5 🌶🌶🌶🌶! Steamy but not over the top, just the right balance to keep things interesting. I’d 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a gripping story with just the right amount of heat. Trust me, you’ll be obsessed!
ACOTAR (ive heard so much about it im scared it'll disappoint)and the do-over (i have VERY high expectations after reading betting on you, better than the movies and nothing like the movies, im scared it'll disappoint)
I’m scared to start Sarah J. Maas universe and the Magnolia Parks series because I’m not fond of the cheating trope and I’ve heard that trope is in it😭

These are the series that i hope to get soon but at the same time im terrified they wont live up to the hypeShatter Me
Caraval
Once Upon A Broken Heart
The Inheritance Games
Also The First To Die At The End (I read they both die at the end a few years ago and loved it)
Priory of the orange tree, why in the world is the first book so big?! I’m fine when a series eases me in but good lord. How can you commit when you’re not sure yet!!!! 🤣
I'm scared to read pretty girls by Karen Slaughter (i probably will at some point, though) I've heard it's quite fucked up lol
the count of monte cristo, the brothers Karamazov, white nights (short but i heard it’s absolutely devastating), and no longer human!
