Charlie Medcalf (cmedcalf) | 57 comments Hello, and welcome to the Top 5 Wednesday prompts for December. I apologise that they have been published later than usual but here they are! Do remember to include your responses in the comments below.

December 4th: Unique Narrative Structures
I love a unique book which structures the story in a different way, whether this is a small difference or a large difference. It is just so great to see authors deviate from the stereotypical idea of a book. So for this week lets consider our top books which experiment with structure such as non-linear timelines, multiple formats or whatever else it may be.

December 11th: National App Day
Today is National App Day, which is a day where we can step back and appreciate how much our lives have changed through technology and how it is just getting more and more advanced. Apps can be very useful as well as very fun. Apps have even revolutionized how we read, with many people nowadays reading on their phones for ease. Therefore, for this week’s prompt lets consider our Top 5 Books which challenge the conventions of books by introducing new structures, formats and anything which is not usually part of a book. If this is a bit challenging, how about your top 5 books which are centred around technology?

December 18th: Sibling Relationships
This week is about the dynamics between siblings. This is something I am sure we can all relate with because many of us have been in such a relationship whether that is with biological siblings or close friends who you feel could be a sibling. These sibling relationships are often characterised by having their ups and downs. So, this week we are going to highlight our top books which focus on the dynamics between siblings.

December 25th: Favourite Christmas Reads
With today being Christmas Day (what a treat for us to have Top 5 Wednesday today), lets consider our top 5 favourite Christmas books! Now this does not have to be books which have a Christmas theme or genre, although that would be nice, today is about our favourite books we enjoy reading at this time of the year.
