Setting up a Buddy Read for a December read of Loot. All are welcome to join!

Loot is set in 18th century India and France. There is a carved tiger, a theft and colonialism at work.

I should be starting tonight.

I only managed 1 chapter last night but I'm intrigued and I like the writing style/ voice.

Finished the first section of 1794. The tiger sounded amazing. It is a good start and set up of characters.

I fear that I may need to take the book with me on travel and apologize to the library if it doesn't renew. It is really good but too busy to read much this week.

Got through the diary of the seaman, paused for my flights since a kindle is so much easier for a carry on and dark plane reading and am now sucked in to an ebook Trust which is more interesting than expected.

Anyhow, really enjoyed the British guy's diary and take on Abbas and life at sea. It was harsh but good. Love how author used a different POV and format to carry the story and years forward. Next up is France and excited to get back to it later this week.
