I.V. Marie | 7 comments So I really need some help here, or even just like clarification of what my options are. I know Superlibrarians might not 100% be able to help me out here, but maybe someone has a suggestion?

I reached out here earlier regarding the merging of two duplicate editions and was advised to contact customer support, as one of my editions has 16,000+ adds. However, upon contacting customer support, whoever got my request simply deleted/removed the edition, as opposed to merging. Now, even though it still shows I have 16,000+ adds on my book, when readers click on the version they added, it shows that it's no longer available to review/rate (because it is the deleted/removed edition). I'm extremely concerned here and am really hoping there is a way to undo the removal of the edition.

For reference, this was the main US hardcover edition that I had been using the past few months to accumulate adds: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

And then this is the second edition that populated with the ISBN: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Originally, I had simply wanted the two items merged, but definitely not at the expense of 16,000+ adds and multiple lists.

Sorry if this is a bit complicated, I'm just really struggling to figure out who to contact to help with this, as customer support is very slow to answer/are the ones who kind of caused this problem in the first place.

Thank you!

Scott | 8635 comments Merging does delete the edition, and transfers reviews/ratings/adds to the edition into which it is merged.

If this action was just performed, you may notice discrepancies while the site updates and recalculates. Check back in a day or two.

Ok, I see they simply marked the edition invalid, instead of deleting and merging. Since this was done by staff, no one here can change it. You'll have to contact support and explain it again.

Gotcha. Thank you for the clarification. So strange that they would do that. I'm assuming the only way to contact support is through the form on the website? I've tried contacting them through there and nobody has gotten back to me.
