That's cool, Carol. The little I read was a game-changer. I definitely want to read the whole thing. I feel like she's already enlightened me about more than just her work.

Now Haze is getting serious, y'all.
I'm a heathen because I found this VERY funny:
"What church?" she asked.
He said the Church Without Christ.
"Protestant?" she asked suspiciously...
I did think the black preacher hat would make it to the end. No, it's gone now after Mrs. Watts had made herself a little bit of entertainment with it and the big scissors we know she has. Never mind, it's not needed any more. He's now a preacher. Without it.
Chapter 6 was a very funny chapter. I laughed at Mrs Watts, it was almost schoolboy behaviour on her behalf, which made it even funnier.

I laughed at that part too, Dave! I completely forgot it from the first time I read it through. I think I was so stunned I only caught half of the story then.

I've been MIA the last week working on our annual inventory at my job, counting the $4M in oil field bits and bobs that we sell. After all the preparing, counting, crunching the numbers-- earning 24 hours at the overtime rate to boot--we added a whopping $693 to our inventory value. We (12 of us) were too exhausted to take much delight in the brilliance of our accuracy.
Anyone still reading and want to talk about WB? I'm ready to do a one-go reading finish and then write just a few words over on Final Impressions.
I've finished last week Debi, but I'm more than happy to discuss it either here or over on Final Impresssions.
Good point, Lexy. I'll drop some thoughts over on the final impressions (although it will probably be tomorrow).
