**Extra book for Shadow & Flame - letter A, no tags
I noticed this book because of the sheep on the cover. Many of you know I grew up on a sheep farm, and my mount for Steeplechase is Rambo the Ram. It turns out the sheep has only a small part in the story, but is perhaps symbolic in some ways.
This is the story of 4 sisters in modern-day Ireland, who reacted in different ways to the early deaths of their parents. They are all very successful with doctorates, though one is honorary. The first part is about the sister who is a geologist and I thought the author might have that background too. The second is a chef who has become famous on social media and the author shows detailed knowledge of that field too. The other two are in philosophy and political science and we see elements of their erudition as well. In between, we have the interactions of the sisters. The book is largely open-ended, a lot like life.
