Okay, uncharacteristically of me, i'm getting in my two nice 'n' sharpish!

One very well known nomination, from one of my all time favourite albums; and a lesser known track from a band not seen on here for a while now. The opening title track from their interesting (and unique for them) western themed 2nd album, written and narrated by the late Broderick Smith (of the Dingoes), and father to keyboardist Ambrose Kenny-Smith, the whole album tells a story set in the American Frontier.

I must have known Broderick Smith had died but I somehow forgot. He was a great singer and harmonica player. I saw The Dingoes when they reformed probably 20 years ago or more and have singles and albums plus Brod's solo work. Another leaf dropped.☹️
