Don't we sometimes wonder what the world would look like if certain events in history had turned out differently? Read a novel that was nominated for or won a Sidewise Award for Alternate Histories: http://www.uchronia.net/sidewise/comp... OR a book from the "Standalone Novels," "Novel Series," or "Plays" section of the Wikipedia list of alternate histories: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14237 comments In the Completed Tasks thread, the sample post includes the novel Searching for Caleb by Anne Tyler with a combo for this task, 20.9.

How does it fit this task? It isn't on the Sidewise Award link nor on the list of works on the Wikipedia link.

I'd like to understand this task better.

That's my mistake...it should have said combo 20.8 based on publication date. I've corrected it.

I had those two tasks in the opposite order on my original list because I normally put the mods in alphabetical order -- Anika, Apple, Joanna--but I guess I reversed them when I actually posted the tasks.

Sorry for the confusion. I've updated the sample post.

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14237 comments Oh, thank you.

And you had me reading 20.8 again, because I missed the woman born/died and published by a woman bit. I was only looking at the Prizes.

I guess I read some tasks with clarity, but others?
