Black and white in the regular books, but color in a special edition, I think... T..."
I was too late for the Waterstone's version but I got the Broken Binding one. If I can get the Waterstones for a decent price on re-sale at some point in the future I will definitely pick it up. I listened though, there is no way I could have finished over the weekend if I had to read the physical copy!
I haven't minded either... 77% now... Curious what book 2-3 look like...
Always jarred by that bank or whatever that sounds similar to Valintz and Balk from First Law tho...

Went back and read page 1 spoilers and got answers to my questions...

That and/or likes being able to better weave developments and foreshadowing across entire trilogies...

That makes sense too, whatever the reason I support it <3

My annoyance is the repetitive dialogue - there are so many lines that are used over and over.. It's something that annoyed me with The Blade Itself and it's why I haven't read much Abercrombie since.

Finished :) I'll probably be in the minority here, but this one was an exhausting read.
An interesting premise and some good actions scenes, but the humour killed it for me. There were only a couple of jokes that I thought landed, and the rest I thought were pretty cheap laughs - maybe I just have a terrible sense of humor, though. If there were more of a balance between the comedy and character development, I think I would have been more invested in the story, but I was emotionally checked out by the time Part 3 started.

plot and dialogue/banter for me. and some of the inner thoughts...

some of the jokes could be cheap and tiring indeed
There are definitely focal devils and peripheral devils... I probably missed a bunch, listening at work...

Glad I wasn't the only one who felt this way

I definitely agree on the Malevolent Seven comments ... I thought the same thing while reading and forgot to mention ..

This feels like Abercrombie, but also has what feels like a Discworld seasoning thrown in...
