rejection isn't bad. if they reject you so what? I have social anxiety also so it's like "impossible" for me to talk to people but I wouldn't let a little rejection get to me if I were in your spot.

it can hurt tho but if he rejects you it's okay
girl go for it. the worst he can say is no and if he does it’s his loss not urs. i do get the anxiety of asking a guy out with the fear of rejection but just go for it. it’s his loss if he says no. let me know if u tell him and how it goes <33
