this needs a movie.
Sorry, actually, it looks like it's going to be a film. Can't post any links here but do Google it and you'll see a lot of information and recent articles reporting that an adaption is coming
I honestly think any attempt at making this for screen will lose so much of the inhuman and barbaric human nature McCarthy portrays. I also want it to be a movie or series but I have no faith it will pass censorship without losing it's powerful message.
A movie won't be able to capture what happened in this book. I think it's best as a novel.
It would have to be heavily censored, and the realism and scale of the violence in the book is central to its message. Without it, it might end up seeming like a Western-western, instead of an anti-Western.
Honestly I don't want a visual interpretation of it, I'd like at least a few books I read stay pure in my head
