The Final Hunger Games

I would get the Gamemakers, Snow, Coin, the Peacekeepers, all of the people in charge and throw them in an Arena.

I didn't want another Hunger Games. Without a doubt, revenge feels good while it's happening but it doesn't solve anything.

As Kristen and Jo have said, the people of the Capitol were not necessarily all evil. It is a psychological reality that people have an advantage over a certain group of people do not exactly see themselves to have an advantage. For them, it's just normal life.

Besides, it would be a mistake to punish many for the sins of a few, or innocent children for the sins of their parents. And Eliza is right: this would again perpetuate the cycle of violence inevitably leading the Capitol to form their own rebellion against the districts.

If you look at real-life conflicts throughout history, responding to violence with more violence is only likely to feed war instead of bringing real justice.

I'm a big believer in the idea that what is good for one is good for all, but in this case, I don't think so. Maybe if they changed the qualifications to making the adults who facilitated the games do it, rather than the kids....
But don't forget, the people in the Capitol weren't necessarily evil. Not like Snow. Mostly they were raised to be good little apathetic sheep. That doesn't really excuse their participation, but they're not actually the cause of the Games either. And many of them were enslaved just as much as the people in the districts. Just in different ways.

It's difficult I think...
I can understand the the district-people would like the capitol people to be punished but they shouldn't do it by the children. The children should be the new generation without a war trauma. And they use something they did fight against as a "new" punishment that's a bit strange.

(sorry for my bad english)

It would just become a cycle again, except with the Districts switching places with the Capitol. Such a cycle could not be started again if such a society was to be avoided.

I'm going to have to disagree with you, as not all Capitol citizens were evil like Snow, many were just ignorant to current events. And not only that but I don't believe it'd be fair to make the children suffer for their parents' mistakes. Plus the whole "fight to the death" idea is rather primitive concerning today's ideals and if Panem wanted to advance their moral ideals they should avoid the whole fighting to the death in an arena.

It would prove no point to have done it with the Capitol children. And just showed that we as humans, fictional or other wise. The point is not to do as the "natives" do but become BETTER. Evolve past that kind of thinking and become a better society. An eye for an eye only gets you so far before someone is cutting you down all over again til there is nobody left. What then?
