I'm sorry, the bird is fine, but I don't see anything identifiable as a branch.

Would this combination work for option D?
The Christmas Clause - MPGs Cozy Mystery, Mystery, Christmas, Fiction, Romance, Holiday
A Midwinter's Tail - MPGs Christmas, Fantasy, Fiction, Magical Realism, Cozy Mystery, Holiday, Cats, Animals, Mystery
I wanted to check, as they have several MPGs in common over and above Christmas, but the first one has Romance as a unique MPG, while the second has Magical Realism, Fantasy, Animals and Cats.
Thanks.

Jenny wrote: "Hi, does option C mean that the two books can't be about the same holiday? So that a combination that would work would be one book about Christmas and the other book being about New Year?"
Correct, it would need to be two different holidays, like in your example.

Or something not on the list, like: prince, prints?
Styx, sticks?

Yes, I see the bird flying and the tree branch.

Plurals are fine, as long as both words are plural.

We have to stick to the list because of the wording of the task.

Thanks.

That might be just any HOLIDAY, or the HOLIDAYs would have to be the same, per description, etc. I guess I'm asking two or three questions here.

If I understand, your question is can the generic term HOLIDAY be used in place of a specific holiday, like Halloween or Thanksgiving? If that is what you are asking, the answer is we need a specific holiday.

Do plurals or possessive's work for witch (witch's or witches)?"
I think you're asking if you could match which with either witch's or witches. They would not be homophones, sorry.

I'm going to have to say no to this one. I've discussed it with the mods, and we all agree that Thanksgiving isn't the focus of the book, her drinking problem is.

In the spirit of the task name (Partridge in a Pear Tree) how could I possibly say no?

Christmas at The Mysterious Bookshop and
The Christmas Card Crime and Other Stories?
They both have Christmas, Mystery, and Short Stories as MPGs, but the first one has MPG Books About Books which the second one doesn't have. The second one has MPG Classics which the first one doesn't have.

This is a two-book task. Pick one option and read two books.
Required: State the option
Option A:
Book 1: Read a book where an author's first and last initials are found in PARTRIDGE. Letters may be used only as often as they appear.
Book 2: Read a book where both a tree and a bird appear on the cover. I will accept either a branch or a full tree.
Required: Post the cover
Option B:
One definition of a homophone are words that have the same pronunciation, but are spelled differently, such as Pair and Pear.
Read two books, each with a related homophone in the title from this list of homophones: http://www.singularis.ltd.uk/bifroest...
Required: Identify the related words.
Option C:
Because this is the holiday season, read two books focusing on different holidays in the Goodreads description or metadata. This should be obvious from the title, MPG or book description.
Option D:
Pick one holiday MPG, and read two books which share that MPG but which also have different MPGs. For example, if you picked Christmas, Book 1 might have a combination of MPG Christmas and Mystery, and Book 2 a combination of MPG Christmas and Romance.
