Amey Zeigler | 10 comments Hello! A huge thank you for letting me crash your Cafe book talk here! Thank you for the wonderful warm welcome!

I can't wait to share with you a little about The Autumn Fallout!

First off, the Seasons of Sugar Creek is a multi-author series that some author friends created, so if you like the cosy small New England settings, be sure and check those out as well. You can read mine without reading theirs and vice versa. It's a fun shared world with some overlapping characters.

My part of the series follows a couple of families in the fictional Vermont town of Sugar Creek.

In the Christmas book (and series starter), A White Christmas Lie, we have two families who have been feuding for a hundred years--the Laurents and the Poverlys. There are two love stories, one younger couple who are forbidden to see each other. And an older second-chance couple for a later-in-live/silver romance.

In The Autumn Fallout, we follow the family who lives next door to the Laurents, the Bentons. They are disputing a community issue that will leave one of the families without a home.

The Autumn Fallout has a lot of fun fall things: fall fairs, Halloween parties, treasure hunts, and even a small ghost story.

I personally LOVE seasonally-themed books. Every season feels like a new beginning to me, and I enjoy reading within the season I'm in. And of course, fall is awesome because of the gorgeous leaves and scents of apples and cinnamon. My favorite!

Rae | 38 comments I like reading in the season I'm in too. Amey, your description of this book sounds prefect for fall reading.

Fall is one of my favorites! Especially in New England. My mom and I went to Vermont in the fall of 2022! So hopefully those details made it into the book!

Awww, thank you! This should be so fun to cosy up with. I also am working on a cookbook for all the recipes from across the series! Should be coming soon!

You will have to let me know how well the cookbook is received. I like giving out a new recipe to my Newsletter Subscribers every month, and I've thought about putting them all together in a cookbook one day.

I've heard New England is beautiful in the fall, but I've never been. The farthest east I've been/lived is Oklahoma. I know that in terms of beauty, I much prefer the western states to the central ones, and love fall here in Washington State. Even if there's a lot of yardwork to be done cleaning up all of the leaves.

Amey Zeigler | 10 comments Yes! I will let you know. I don't know that I will do a full-blown cookbook with colored images (or even any images) but it will be a recipe collection. I like having recipes go along with books. It's fun for book clubs and themed parties. I think you should totally put a cookbook for your that! Even if you offered it as a Digital download, I think readers would love it!

The trees are definitely worth seeing on the coasts! But yes, a LOT of work raking in the fall. LOL

Michelle Wallace | 3 comments A cookbook sounds an interesting addition! I read the part last night at the bonfire where they cool the meat on pitchforks in the oil! Please include photos of this if you include that in your cookbook!! Loved this idea!

Amey Zeigler | 10 comments Isn't that fun? I learned about this at a writer's conference! I totally want to see if I can take a pic! I'll see what I can do! hahah!
