KateNZ | 4104 comments This time the Baudelaire children are sent to live with another distant relative, Aunt Josephine, a widow who lives in a rickety house on Lake Lachrymose and who is scared of everything except grammar. Of course Count Olaf is not far behind and Mr Poe is his usual well meaning but ignorant self.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit more than the first two. There were more layers to the humour and the word play was cleverer. The children all had important parts to play, but Sunny was the real star of the day.
