we can put the limitation on that particular role that whoever the other sergeant is, they still will never have the same level of power as cal because of her name and position in the city. so they're still above the other militia members, but they couldn't get her into any trouble or order her around under any circumstances
i like having it forced on her for some character development, but no power will be stripped from her at all. and she doesn't have to work with this person at all. they could be overseeing an entirely separate portion of the militia from her. maybe like one focuses on looking into asterath (definitely not allowed but they're for sure doing it) and the other is the face of the militia in voxthain? idk, throwing an idea out there

also what howler and rory said!!! truly we are so so so cool with just scrapping the second sergeant. nobody will be upset in the slightest. there's enough fun stuff elsewhere in the militia and in other claims in the group

In search of a best friend for Draven Delacroix. He's the Delacroix patriarch, but he's only 18, so someone around the same age would be best. Also, I'm thinking a female character for some reason. Who am I kidding? We all know the reason. ;) But male could def work too. I was thinking a sort of grumpy x sunshine platonic best friends dynamic.

I'm in search for best friends for two of my characters. I did already post for one of them, but I'm just gonna copy and paste, so I have them together. Anyway:
1. Best friend for Draven Delacroix. He's the Delacroix patriarch, but he's only 18, so someone around the same age would be best. Also, I'm thinking a female character for some reason. Who am I kidding? We all know the reason. ;) But male could def work too. Also, a Voxthain noble would make the most sense. I was thinking a sort of grumpy x sunshine platonic best friends dynamic.
2. Best friend for Zoya Hawke. She's the Arachniad Lady (aka second in command), and 21. I was thinking it would be best for her best friend to also be in the Arachniads. And maybe be someone a bit spontaneous? idk lol And like, they're both in the gang, but Zoya's higher up, and takes it a bit more seriously? *shrugs*
^^just wanted to say, i am totally open to considering different dynamics. just let me know if you have anything in mind.

um for Zoya. I do have Katniss, she’s a wip right now but would probably be around that age. She’s very chipper and optimistic and loves making friends but she’s also chaotic and insane and a liar? And uh. Likes to steal things. BUT for her family and best friend she’d kill. Like for them. And she’d never hurt them unless they betrayed her? Idk
your call! I am waiting to finish her until Rory and I talk about our collab (she wants to make a sibling) but once we figure that out I’ll have her made and submitted and you can see if you’d like to have her as a friend to Zoya! And no problem if not, just an offer

I think that could work! Artemisia isn't that much younger than Celeste, so it could work out. Did you have anything specific in mind?

I looked at her profile, and I think that they could get along pretty well! Celeste is friendly to everyone she meets, so she loves making new friends. She wouldn't care that Artemisia is nobility and would completely ignore that fact :)

note: he's from faerûn, so just basing off of how people and the world usually works, it's likely that the people of valoran might feel prejudices─whether this be internalized or externalized─towards him, and him towards them. they're different, this is normal (not alright, but normal), and i do really love a good bit of angst in everything that i do.

i'm totally open to a trio, offers more interactions :) also also, the prejudice thing is absolutely not a requirement (
would be weird if it was) but rather a flavor aspect for possible interactions because it is realistic :))

chae is a very kind person but i can see not so much prejudice but her being very pushy. she uses magic in her mechanic work so him being so against it would not limit their friendship but cause some strife likely, her pushing him to just accept it or maybe try and see how it feels, him telling her to back off or maybe stop relying on it so much :o
that 100% offers room for character growth for the both of them and with the kavan aspect it offers character growth for him with having two friends despite preferring one-on-one
yeah! Definitely. Kavan will be afraid they’ll hate and judge him but overtime gets more comfortable probability
I haven't made him or posted his profile yet, but I'm going to make a mechanic (this can be unrelated to yours, Rory, and Elizabeth's idea), but maybe Helm and my character could have some sort of friendship?
