@kyleigh, re xinyi + mara, definitely, i think they both recognize that the other is capable and competent, but they also both have their own issues and stuff going on so they're just a bit blank with each other at times because they never really broke the ice and mara in general isn't very good with outright empathy and connection. she personally would definitely probably like xinyi a lot because she's, like i said, intelligent and competent so even if she didn't show it, like she'd definitely be willing to step in or defend or something idk 😭😭✋
re evelyn + coco, yeah okay i can see that, and i think coco would definitely have a lot of respect and consideration for her mother, the only thing i d o just want to put out there is that coco doesn't agree at all with almost anything the delacroix family has going on, but she never contests it or speaks back really so it gives the impression that she agrees if that affects it at all
@aelin, @bella, it would prolly depend on kind of what your students have interest in, like if they're more artsy or like divination they probably wouldn't have very much to do with mara 😅 but if they have any interest in science, empathy (as in the power), or dead bodies that's ya girl

Teddy is actually an intern in the science lab at this point. i also said that it was one of his teachers who suggested that he pursue a career in science, do ydk if that would be mara, but yeah.

what do you think mara's relationship to the scientists as a whole would be? it sounds like she's more of a floater between them and the militia, but the scientists wouldn't have any sort of issue with that. i personally think she and casmir (think viktor arcane) would get along fairly well, as he isn't much of a people person and respects anyone who does good work
aelin - yeah i dunno if they have much to connect on...except maybe, mara grew up on an animal farm so she loves animals!

isabella - okay so i think she would have like a work relationship, as scientists it's definitely very likely she knows them and interacts with them, and i think especially right now since they're all working on the deaths albeit different aspects, they'd probably discuss and work together on it, and if teddy is working in that lab too she might have recommended him or them you know like !
nice! yeah, i was thinking of talking to whoever had the science teacher about that, since i figured it would make the most sense.

Yeah, that makes sense. Evelyn respects Coco, even though she doesn't know her daughter doesn't agree with most things the family is doing. She just goes along with whatever the family does as well.

I have a teacher at cogworks as well, Andrew Westlake, I think he may be thirty something, too. so I don't know if you wanted mara to have any friends, but he is a kind and gentle person could use a friend or two (art and something else he teaches I don't recall)
oh yeah betbetbet that makes total sense, plus mara might totally see andrew as one of the few people she can stand because he's calm and gentle and doesn't like irritate her very much at all

okay so i went through her profile, i think judging off of lysa's personality combined with mara's they probably aren't like best friends because they're both pretty methodical and not so open, but i mean at least from mara's side, she's probably never even thought to bully or be rude to lysa after her trauma and mechanical implants and probably doesn't understand even why someone would do that, not in an like empathetic way just like it genuinely doesn't strike her as a bad or weird thing, lysa's good at what she does and mara can rely on her so that's what matters to her. mara probably does flat out talk about her prosthetics and trauma not meaning any bad, like it's just A Thing to her so even if socially it's like impolite to just talk about it out loud, she doesn't really know or care, but maybe lysa would even respect that, she doesn't seem like the type of person to appreciate pity.

okay i think that for katarina, it kind of depends more on what she thinks of mara since katarina probably outranks her except in emergency situations as medical personnel, even if not directly katarina's the one doing the judging so i think it's kind of up to you where you want to go with this 🙃

She's the teacher's assistant for Mara and helps with the science classroom. She's 27, so I think three years younger than Andrew.

okay so i thought about it a bit, for mara it would mirror brennan and booth, so it would have to be a hella slowburn because she's omniromantic, she's perfectly fine with casual sex but romantic relationships are like weird and tough for her, and it would be like a high iq vs high eq relationship. for coco though, i could give her a sweet little happy ending...or she's up for grabs for like a political alliance/arranged marriage, she wouldn't object, it could end up in romance if you want it to or it could just be angst, whatever works 😌😌
the thought of an arranged marriage that ends in romance is tempting, but the only character I currently have who I considered a marriage of convenience thing for is Felix, and I'm pretty sure he's gay... but I COULD always possibly make a new character. or maybe he's bi, or they just end up being friends, who knows lol.

real! arranged marriage is always a fun trope, and bc of all the lux nobility there's so much space for it here. but like i said for coco it doesn't necessarily need to be romantic bc i want her to suffer a lot a lot. she should be a human punching bag.
