I have a sister who's 25. Her name will be (I think) Catalina Taupe. The first might be different from that, I might have misremembered.
@Kyleigh/Devoe familyHey, I wanted to make a granddaughter for the Devoe family, but I wasn't sure who else was making a character for them. From reading Evelyn's backstory, it seems like their family is somewhat strict?
Anyway, I think my real question is I'm trying to figure out which of Evelyn's siblings my character should have for their parent. I was thinking maybe one of the brothers, but I wasn't sure which one. I'm considering making my character possibly be chronically ill (perhaps sickle cell anemia or something else), so I wanted to see if that would be okay with the other people making characters in the family.
@SnailHey! So Aelin made the daughter of Evelyn's older brother, who is the heir, and Elizabeth has his wife. Aelin's character is the illegitimate daughter of the heir, so Elizabeth's character would be her stepmom. I'm fine either way with which one Evelyn's brothers would be her father! If you want to make your character chronically ill, that's perfectly fine! I haven't planned out a whole lore for the family besides what I wrote in Evelyn's history, so you can be as creative as you want :)
Okay, thanks that helps! I think I'll tentatively say she's the daughter of the younger brother. It's been a day and a half, so I'm super indecisive rn ugh.
No problem! I know it can get confusing sometimes, so it's good to have that cleared up :) And I forgot to mention this, but I also have Evelyn's sister, who is disowned and would be the aunt. I don't know if they would have much of a relationship, but I figured that I'd let you know. I'm the same way. I can be very indecisive sometimes, so I understand lol.

I'm not sure how controlling her parents would be/if they would allow that since they haven't been made yet. I was probably going to make her 17, so still under her parent's control, most likely. She'll be a sweet, thoughtful, tenacious sort of person - at least that's how I've planned her so far.
Sounds good! Evelyn keeps in contact with her, but yeah, whether her brothers do or not depends on who makes them.

basically, he's an asshat, was aliannas friend, engaged to her before she ran away but they never loved each other despite being close awful friends. he is manipulative and a cruel brute, his way of escaping his not great father was to join the militia but he was thrown out a few years ago for being a sadistic piece of crap
so now hes even worse, wants the journalism business his family has to keep manipulating people and wants his family to come out on top, and he likes tradition and he's classist and all that garbage. dislikes his brother who has crime issues, only person he loves is melody, would probably kill for her. not a good man, bullies people. he's a smoker, vain, lazy at times and very pompous, but also has a brutish side where he will punish servants for looking at him wrong. not very book smart
any thoughts or comments of how he'd get along with the rest of the family?
idk, i really need to get to work on teddy lol. i feel like he's pretty quiet, and tries to avoid confrontation of any kind. he's into science, of course. and i feel like maybe he doesn't really agree with the family on a lot of things, but doesn't really voice those opinions.
i do believe there's also a family curse... you'll have to discuss that with alpha
Liz, I am so excited with everything I'm seeing lmao. He fits my vision all too perfect. Since he is gonna be the new heir (cause I might just claim and create the patriarch to kill him and pass the throne onto an active OC), I have some behind the scenes in progress stuff that you might wanna see. It's kinda a family backstory and the entire organization of the family motives as I progress through the group. If you'd like to wait to see we can wait, if your nosey like me and wanna know everything, since he'll be patriarch I'm fine inviting you to my private group where that's stored.
As for the curse, it's just that the patriarch dies at the ripe age of 50. no sooner no later, when you turn 50 your OC dies.

omg a family curse sounds so fun I had no idea XD but this works, tamrion is a butt and so he'd be a character who may die anyway, so who knows if he'd even make it to that age. and I am so glad he fits your vision! I looked and saw that the brothers love their sister so I placed that in there as the one person he actually cares genuinely about, and I think it works.
(and that works about the patriarch! that would be interesting for tamrion's development xd he would be both eating it up and a mess omg and then eventually may end up dying at the end of the entire plotline anyway so more drama with the dad dying, then maybe him, then melody oh gosh). ooh yeah! you can also, like, send me any info on PMs if you want, but I'd be happy to see it in the group, too, whatever works best for you :)

so I have matthias' and teddy's older brother and in my mind he dislikes both of them, but teddy more because teddy is intelligent and kinder, right? I'm working on his relationships, so what are your thoughts?

yeah, that sounds about right. teddy doesn't tend to voice his opinions much, but he disagrees with the family on a lot of things, and us kinder. and, yes, intelligent too. like, stem intelligent. he's also generally a pretty quiet person

yeah definitely! i could see tamrion looking down on matthias for his substance abuse problems and the inherent kindness in his curiosity and journalism, but still they would be closer than teddy because they both have that noble haughtiness

got it! yeah, I think he wouldn't look down on him for journalism, but more so the kindness in curiosity and in the journalism, and as for the substance abuse, probably somewhat, but thats also tam being a hypocrite because he has a smoking problem. he probably likes throwing shade at matthias for his own issues to divert attention from his own as well
Teddy being like the only young male noble who doesn't have at least some form of substance abuse issues...

i love that we're unintentionally following a name theming for this family too
probably not super close? the twins seem to be a unit together and matthias doesn't really fit into that, more doing his own thing. and he follows the family far more than teddy. now as an adult, matthias is pretty distracted with his problems and attempts at journalism to pay too much attention to his younger siblings, kind of shutting them out of his idea of the family

Hey everyone! I'm looking to establish Evelyn's relationships with the Delacroixs (except for Lala and Ezekiel, since they've already been established) and the Devoes. I know not many claims have been made since their a newer family that was added, but I'd still like to discuss her relationships with the members that were made. If have a character from either of those families, let me know :)

I think we talked about them a little bit already, but I don't remember if we decided much of anything because I hadn't finished her then. Either way, Winter is a sweetie, so I think she'd love her auntie. Tbh she'll be friends with literally anyone as long as they aren't mean or something. Although, I don't know if Evelyn would approve of her being friends with commoners or not. I guess it would depend on how close they are/if Winter ever mentioned it.

Yeah! I think that Evelyn would love Winter, even if she doesn't always show it. She's sort of strict, but not as much as Winter's grandparents, so she would probably approve of her having commoner friends.
