okay, relationship wise she's really close to her daughter. she knows that her husband doesn't acknowledge the girl and she tries her best to help her. plot wise, there was a point when Melody was being bullied by her cousin mentally and physically and the wife/mom caught on. The patriarch, her husband, didn't do anything initially until she pushed because she hated seeing her daughter broken and the niece was disowned. I think that's it?

Also those claiming brothers, I think I already said but go wild, things like sexuality and gender differences are closeted/hidden since the family is a bit... yeah... I don't think anyone has the eldest but if that happened Pm me cause he's got some stuff going on. Otherwise, the brothers just need to be loving and protective of their sister.

Okay I am at the point in character re-dos that I need to ask for collabs.
1.) Thornes
Ash, we already touched base on the relationship between Kieran and Avaliyah, so.
Rory, we kind of talked about the relationship between Nahilia and Avaliyah, but not entirely. Since I know her personality more now, what are our thoughts on their relationship? Avaliyah is a very emotional, anxious person, very compassionate, but she’s also a good, steady healer and thus not too bad to have around in times of crisis, but she’s the type to break down later. Would there be tension between them because Nahilia is a little more “steel spined”, or would they get along?
Charlie, what are your thoughts for Avaliyah and Izeal? From his profile I read that he loves her and then as they got older, he teases her and makes fun of her and stuff like an older sibling does sometimes, but then when things get serious he's there for her? Is that about right? Anything else? Going off that, I think Avaliyah does love her brother, a lot, but she was both annoyed and sometimes hurt by how much he made fun of her, but knows he loved her because of how angry he got when she was dumped. She probably does with he didn't mess around so much in that regard, but also has no idea why he's visiting Kieran so much and is worried about him and his well-being. She doesn't want him to protect her necessarily, but also sometimes does want to rely on him, especially after she got dumped.
2.) So, I have my Cogworks teacher, Andrew, illusions and art teacher. He's a very soft guy, quite pleasant for the most part, but he grew up in serpentine and is finally away from them, as he was never someone who liked them and felt okay with everything they did. Basically, I want Andrew to either have a friend, a boyfriend, or maybe even have some drama happen with Serpentine, who he was finally able to get away from.
3.) Zahra, my snake! She's complex honestly, she was not born in Serpentine, but joined when the gang attacked and killed her mother when she was younger for escaping the gang. I had some mystery built up as to who killed her, and then why they came after Zahra after that but honestly, I had no solid plan and no idea who was even behind it, so idk. if anyone wanted a collab for some random reason, lmk. Zahra also could use some actual enemy (could be related to what I had in my head for her backstory, or separate), and maybe someone who eventually becomes a friend. She has one childhood friend she likes, but he's an npc, so she could use one more.
3.) My Ellington, Julian! He is a 16-year-old kinda vain and intellectual noble. He is lonely, he needs a friend, but he is also a tad classist. Not to the levels of the Trio of Calicos, Seaveys, and Delacroixs, but he's a little pompous, this man. So ideally his friend would be another noble around his age, 14-17 somewhere, if anyone is interested at all. Or, if it is a commoner, I'm down to figure something out, but it would take some discussion. I have one other 15-year-old noble, Artemisia Calico, but she was born to a servant as well as a noble, so they're probably friends as she hasn't told him about her parentage, but yeah, Julian needs another friend.
4.) My militia magic hacker, Harlow, could use a friend and eventual partner, maybe. Or honestly, if anyone has a random militia member who needs a friend, lmk.
5.) Bella, Zoya and Jackie (the Mother). I finished her, so if you have any ideas for their relationship let me know.
6.) Ideally, Katniss having friends and her girlfriend would be nice, but it’d have to be thought out because Katniss is also not someone who trusts easily after what she has been through with her boyfriend and his betrayal
2. i have megan - enchantment and astronomy ta - if you want to do something with them! i also have a snake who just recently graduated from cogworks (juliette) - maybe she could have found out about andrew’s cover?
3. we should decide julian and arya’s relationship! at least, arya’s side of it :)
4. i’m currently making lysa - militia medic - so we could maybe discuss something between her and harlow?

For Andrew maybe we can cause some drama between him and Victor (Viper)? Viper's currently on a conquest for revenge and to prove himself which is currently being rp'd as a second failure. Maybe he learns about Andrew leaving the gang and decides he'll be the one to punish Andrew to prove that he's worthy to Serpentine? That could be drama if you want.
Would you like Julian to be associated with Melody at all? I won't be surprised if you say no considering she's a unique specimen XD
For Harlow, I have Faulx the tactician. Faulx isn't the most social and he keeps his work and personal life separate but maybe they've developed a good work relationship over time?

Okay, so!
For Andrew, it's possible Megan could work as a sort of friend? I realized they're about four years apart. But, as she's a dancer, it also hit me, I have a character who is also a dancer, albeit for Voxthain, so they could be friend and have bonded over that, and they are closer in age.
But! Juliette or Victor would honestly work so well in trying to figure something out/causing chaos. Andrew ran from Serpentine and faked his death at like sixteen or seventeen, and Serpentine found him when he was twenty-three again, but Andrew managed to escaped them again. So he's been living in Asterath with his head down for five years now, but obviously is worried about Serpentine given he teaches at Cogworks and still lives in Asterath.
Basically, his deal was that he had been born in Serpentine, but he had never fit in, because Andrew's genuinely a kind, good person, so he was utterly horrified at the gang. I looked at Juliette and Vctor, Victor is closer in age so that may work better, but how long have each been in Serpentine?
Julian. Yes to both! Aelin, for Arya, I think Julian does love her, and respects her given she is Fae's daughter, but as he is a little classist and vain, I think he also struggles to comprehend why Fae adopted a commoner kid sometimes, and he also is frustrated by Arya's pranks the way she is so much of a goofball like Taz. Julian is huge into doing whatever Fae wants him to, into getting the Ellingtons back on track and one day being on Council, etc., so he's a more serious person.
Alpha, for Melody, it's possible! They're only two years apart, and I think while Julian probably never approved of Melody, Draven, Alex, and then years ahead of them, Alianna, bullying people so badly, he probably did agree with the basic sentiment that commoners do kind of stain high society. Julian probably both dislikes Melody while also engaging in some small talk at galas, or has some level of awe and wants to befriend her simply because he knows the Seaveys are one of the bigger three noble houses alongside Calicos and Delacroixs, and he wants to make the Ellingtons look good.
Harlow. Aelin, yes, let me know what Lysa will be like and how old she is! Harlow is 25, and actually, she is Andrew's half-sister and was raised in Serpentine until she escaped them with her mother as well at fifteen using her magic, as she was very skilled. They shared a father, but didn't connect until later. So yeah, she lives in Voxthain right now in the militia, so let me know Lysa's info!
And Alpha, yeah! I'd be down for a good work relationship between Faulx and Harlow! That could be interesting, and she wouldn't really pry at his life anyway, and probably respects him as a person if he does his job well, you know? After all, she's also not too proud of her own origins so she'd not pry into his unless he did something that had her questioning his morality and such.
@ElizabethWould you like to discuss Julien and Marianne's relationship? She likes to play pranks with Arya, but she's not as wild as she is :)
Oh! yes. okay, so he is not a prank person and probably dislikes whenever someone tries to pull one in general, and he probably has the same sort of feelings towards Marianne, at least in regards to her common birth. He's trying to get over that slight classism, but he is trying to make the family stronger again. That said, he does love Marianne and Arya, but he does have that slight wondering why his sister adopted two commoners, while also probably preferring Marianne's company to Arya's if she's not as wild.

That makes sense! Marianne loves him too, so she probably wouldn't try to do too much to annoy him. Yeah, I just realized that. They're only a year apart lol.
Andrew: For Viper's time in Serpentine, I don't know exactly but probably two or three years. Before that he was in an unofficial fighting ring (not the one we rp) which he was severely injured in and where he lost his emotions.
Julian: Yeah, he'd be like engaging to develop the positive relationship to try and give the Ellington name some power back? Melody would probably be a bit skittish since he isn't the strongest noble but she wouldn't discriminate since he is of noble blood. Maybe they just keep things nice and civil between them? A lunch here and conversation at the gala there type thing?
Harlow: Okay! With that information that means they'd probably work well together. Maybe they go out to lunch together during work and discuss militia events, concerns, and ideas together when they need it/are stuck? In a way, a positive but not overwhelming bond. Also it would be hilarious if Harlow learned the hard way not to touch Faulx's grapes (he lovesss eating grapes and is very protective(very fun quirk I gave him last second XD)).

Yes, for Megan and Andrew, they can get along, absolutely fine.
As for the Serpentine of it all, Victor and Juliette, I'm torn, I definitely want one of them to figure Andrew out. Because, Andrew's father had been a killed Snake, but after Serpentine killed him for protecting his kinda-weak son, Andrew was raised by his cruel Serpentine uncle, who is still alive. So I would love Juliette or Victor to figure it out, I just don't know which one

Alpha: yeah, that could work! And Julian would try and engage in conversation with her because he does want to show that the Ellingtons have "friends" among the more wealthy nobles, including the Seaveys, while also being a little wary of Melody and recognizing how much her family does gaslight everyone around them with the papers. I think he would be torn, but civil at least at first
Aelin: I love that haha. Ummm. He dislikes being dirty, and he dislikes romance and the ideas of marriage, at least right now, and then, yeah, pranks. OH. snakes. he is afraid of snakes.

Alpha: WAIT YES. I like that idea lol I think it could be fun, and yeah, they kind of trust one another for work purposes and work well together, pretty seamlessly in a sense. (and yes to the grapes bahahaha)

Andrew: Alpha yeah the thing that worries me is that Victor wasn't a part of it then. The gang killed Andrew's father when Andrew was thirteen, so like. 15 years ago? and andrew faked his death about 12 years ago, was found and his house blown up 5 years ago, and has been hiding every since. so timeline wise, yeah, unsure about Victor with that.
But Aelin and Alpha, both the characters and options sound promising and yes to one of them somehow

We should have them at a lunch or something so the grape thing can happen! that said, both their roles are't exactly investigative so idk how much they'd be looking into the murders and/or shadowfog (aside from Harlow hacking peoples' transmutation spells and trying to find anyone speaking of murders and such), but yeah we can still have them talk! Nahilia would absolutely understand and wouldn't criticize Vali for that at all! If she can do her job and save the breakdowns for later, Nahilia actually finds strength in that and admires the "there's a time and place" aspect of it. She also saves breakdowns for later. So I'm thinking she respects Vali for that, not just because she's her daughter. Lots of trust if she lets Avaliyah help with running the clinics and such too!
Okay great! That works for me! Because some of Avaliyah's biggest things are her struggle with anxiety and her compassion, and so she gets very emotional and used to get very medically anxious, but she became a healer to kind of work on that, and now I think her biggest struggle with healing is, um, not crying when she sees hurt people. she is still anxious and not good in social situations outside of the clinics, but yeah
Maybe there's been a past of impatience and sometimes Nahilia still kind of gets exasperated with Avaliyah and tells her sternly to get it together kind of thing? But overall positive relationship? Because Nahilia would be easily annoyed by someone struggling in any way in a role she sees as no-nonsense, just do it kind of thing?
Yes! That sounds good. I think Avaliyah is, again, better about it now, and is typically quite professional when she's working, but there are probably moments she gets very...sappy? And as a whole when she was younger she probably did have to be told to get it together a lot. And she loves her mother anyway, but I think Avaliyah does always miss her father, who taught her first how to help people, and she probably dislikes Nahilia's attitude sometimes
