@alpha I realized it may have to be zahra and not Taja. since you said five years ago was when the brother was killed right? and Taja wasn’t in serpentine until she was 15. So a year after. That said, I would be fine making her 20 instead so it still works?

Taja is the Councillor! I agree it would be fun, so I want to make it work so that I can use her instead of Zahra, just since five years ago would make it a year before she joined the Snakes. If I make her twenty instead of ninteen, she'd be fifteen and a part of the gang, and maybe the kill was one of her first ones as a gang member, another reason she did it, because she was younger, more gullible and such
also question for you! so, I like what you do in your character thread where you have a separate post for the character's relationships, and as I am always out of space in my profiles when I get to the relationship section, would you be okay if i took a page out of your book and made separate posts in my thread for my character's relationships? I didn't know if doing so without asking would be considered copying your template, so I wanted to ask if you minded <3

Detail have been acquired. The 'murder' or 'kill' was committed in the morning. Kalm and Khaos would sleep in two single beds side by side. One morning, Khaos was awoken to the sound of a blood curdling scream, one that belonged to Kalm. He jolted awake to watch the 'new snake girl' pulling a knife out of Kalms' heart before running off. Khaos fought the urge to chase and kiss her (since he could have) and instead stayed with his brother trying to save the mans life. His efforts were helpless, the injuries too great, and Kalm died that morning. Following the death, Khaos spoke to only a few members of the gang, figuring out the name of the murderer and then leaving the gang, not being able to stand being there any longer.
And so for final confirmations, we're doing Taja and she's the councillor/snake?

Yes! And that detail works for me! Taja had always been gullible hence when she ended up in the gang in the first place (they claimed to care about her), and so it’s possible she was also manipulated into killing Kalm as well as some sort of initiation/her first kill ever or something. But you’re saying it was not authorized by the Rattler and Head right?
How about we say some now dead/former member of the gang told Taja that the way she officially became a snake was by taking the life of another. Then she went and killed Kalm? Hence, the kill isn't actually part of the initiation but she was manipulated to believe so by them saying 'to prove you have the guts and strength'.
that works actually! because whosever it was bad probably seen how she was easily manipulated and so if that person and a few others stuck to that story because they thought it was amusing, she’d believe it to be true and then kill someone for them. And it’s possible when she found out after the fact that that wasn’t true, she probably pinned the murder on one of the people who told her to do it and got them in trouble and/or killed? So I’d assume half the gang thinks it was someone else and half knows it was her?
My only thing now is why the head and rattler haven’t killed Taja for killing Kalm. Maybe because they realized she was skilled enough to keep around and now that she’s in council she’s trying to pull strings and stuff for the snakes idk
though that’s more a question for Isabella and Rory I suppose
You can decide what they think. Maybe she lied and said that she didn't know what happened since maybe after Khaos left the other snakes he was with left the gang two, there were only like two. And that way nobody knows she did it and it's her secret only to carry.
that could work. Either she lied and the others left as well, or she did it under an illusion position that changed her appearance! And then the two who had her do it left anyway and it’s just Taja who knows the truth (of the people left in the gang)
I think It should just be those who knew left that gang. probably from shame or smtg. that way the secret is safe and it doesn't affect her too badly... yet...

the 'yet' basically stands for when Khaos finds out she's a councillor he's gonna try and give her the same treatment his brother received :)

Alianna knows Sahir is a threat to her endgame and her goals. If he uses magic, she is afraid that he will find out her skill with it, as well, and that she's lying about her past and her origins. And so, to keep up her own appearance of being Runalithe born-and-raised, Alianna always verbally attacks and hates on Sahir, the mage of the crew, for his magic. She's always putting him down, acting distrustful around him and his work with magic, playing her part of the magic-hating Runalithe individual to perfection.

well, she was one of the first characters, and I asked about it back then. although I guess I could change it.
tho if you think about it, a grandmother was quite a long while back
i guess the limit was ppl being a part of both cities, not having ties?
yeah, I think Rory said it was fine since it was just her grandmother who was from voxthain
yeah that's fine but we're not doing that anymore is what we're saying, we've had plenty of characters with ties and being part of both so just no more characters with those types of histories. a grandmother is fine because that was approved months ago when the group first started up <3

I mean, Alianna would have a Voxthain accent yes, but she probably did work to get rid of it or cover it up. and, because she has been away from the city for about six years now or so, maybe naturally it's turned into some hybrid voxthain-runalithe mix
makes sense. so, Emilie is pretty friendly , and is the sort of person who wants to help other people with their work, but isn't as into other people helping with hers lol
Alianna is both don’t touch my work and don’t help me AND I won’t help you with yours unless I have to. Like. She’ll pretend to be tolerant when she has to be, but she’d told Emilie at length bc she would be worried if her figuring her out. And she’d never let her anywhere near her work either
