The sons don't marry out. The sons are forced to find a wife to marry into the family. Usually it's by the choosing of the parents but if the son finds a good woman that they like she'll marry in and take the Seavey name.

Why do I actually see Helm getting a snobby girl like Melody to realize her terrible views? Or for her just falling for a handsome commoner and her giving into her emotions and throwing her morals out the window?

because helm is perfect and amazing and adorable and perfectalso because he's a lovely sunshine boy who doesn't quite care to understand nobility or the necessity behind it, so he'd 100% argue with someone on the principles of it

She'd either A) stay for her duty and just cheat secretly on Draven. Or B) run away and abandon Draven. Or C) make a deal with Draven to be together for public but have their own partners.
I'd say the engagement is announced and the parents rush the wedding. Then right before the wedding the love drama starts?

i would like to add, which i should've already added, that i have plans for helm (
he gets no happy ending) in the romance department, so it wouldn't be endgame, but i fear that kind of adds to the drama of oh she cheated on her husband/fiance with a commoner who she didn't even stay with
Draven would prob be down for c... idk for sure tho. yeah, the love drama could start then. and then they're all panicking, because they're about to be married.(prob not gonna happen, but I've now got this scenario in my head where they get married, and get pregnant, so when Esmeralda goes off on Draven about everything, he's like "but we secured the bloodline" XD)
anyway, a, b, and c are all valid, whatever makes the most sense for her character (although if she's secretly cheating on him, he WILL find out at some point)
Okay idea:
The married is aranged. Chaos ensues. The rebelious search for another partner. Melody falls in love with Helm. The marriage. Helm leaves somehow. Melody grieves with Draven and suddenly actual romantic connection? Then boom baby f u Esmeralda?
Edit: They are friends beforehand so they don't wanna kill each other. Ya know how there's those couples who hate each other then something happens and it's the breakthrough to their connection. That's what I'm thinking.
Edit edit: The drama can be Esmeralda finding out about the common lover. She'll be like: "The baby isn't yours!" or smthg. And then she can go to the press too about it before realizing she messed up because she was destroying her family name. Drama :)
hmmm... this is a concept. I didn't see Draven being romantically interested in a girl but maybe... he is ace, and sex-repulsed, but the family needs an heir, so yay for him.
(idk if Esmeralda would do that... can't ruin the family name)
or I could always stick with Draven being aroace, and maybe the relationship isn't romantic (at least not really in his end) but still very real?

Sorry, I typed as a mess lol there. She can impulsively do it, realize her mistake, then try and fix it in like an hour. That'll cause plenty of aftermath drama.

also, in case the whole drama with draven wasn't enough, helm's endgame is meant to be zain, so there's even drama on the melody/helm side of this all (besides the noble/commoner aspect)
Maybe? You think about it. Don't feel pressured to do something either way. I think it would be fun for Melody to at least fall in love with him by the end of it, whether he has the ability to mirror those feelings or not!

Oh damn. I feel like it's better she doesn't find out about that after she falls in love with Draven. But how would Helm break her heart? That's my main question rn.
helm doesn't really get a happy ending, so his endgame with zain isn't like, it's not happy at all. not entirely sure how helm would break things off with melody, but it'd be after he met zain and zain did his ~enchanty~ things, so mostly like he just. fell out of it? he met someone else? i dunno, things of that nature. very nothing was wrong, it just wasn't right ending.
see, while I like the idea, a part of me feels like maybe Draven and Melody are maybe a little too alike? idk
and I also do like the idea of him with one of the brothers or smth, so yeah, I need to think more I guess lol
it could be a queer-platonic relationship between draven and melody (drelody? maven? dravody? melon!)
