yeah, I was thinking of that as a possibility. and, yeah, they can try to work on the shadowfog problem together. Lucien has... a lot of notes on the fog, both his own, and his mom's.
Yeah, Venus has plenty of notes on the shadowfog as well. She's done extensive research on it, as she's worried that it will affect more people than it already has. Maybe they could pull their notes together and see what they can find?

Yeah fair enough! Mine is just someone who distrusts most people but she also has been working to better the lives of the people and work with an Asterath councilor to deal with the shadowfog
everyone's working on the shadowfog issue, although no one's made much progress lol. not sure what we're supposed to have them working towards tbh.

would venus and lala have known each other beforehand? since lala is only a year younger than venus and would have (possibly) interacted with someone in the year above, especially if they were from an important house?
Yeah, that would make sense. They may not be friends, but they're acquainted with each other since they both went to Cogworks.

so, i have finally gotten around to making alisa (tasha to the squad), second in command for runalithe! (her history is going to undergo some editing soon - i just ran out of characters) i’d like to get a feel of howalisatasha would get along with the other members of the squad! if you have any ideas, please let me know :)

yeah she grew up in asterath but her grandparents live in runalithe, and they died, so she went to runalithe to attend their funeral which was where the rest of her family died (shadowfog)
and so alisa wants to help stop the shadowfog because she lost everything to the shadowfog
trust me, they aren’t similar (alisa is nowhere as cruel as alianna and she fully supports the cause) but i think alisa won’t like alianna very much due to perhaps suspecting whether alianna is actually true to the cause or not?
it’s true, they both grew up in foreign cities and are both hiding their past, but other than that there is nothing similar

i'm trying to figure out what her and emillie's dynamic is. emillie is generally a pretty friendly person. she's also the type who likes to try to help people with their work, but doesn't usually like them to help her lol. however, she'd prob be more interested in learning more about sahir's work (magic), and, of course, trying to help nahri (the technomancer). alisa’s work doesn’t actually clash with emilie’s so they don’t tend to interact when working but in lunch breaks and rests, they tend to hangout. alisa likes emilie because she’s friendly and doesn’t tend to poke around her work - unlike other members of the squad - and they are relatively close in age so alisa is happy to chat with emilie.

I have no idea on their dynamic. Alianna probably knows she’s from Asterath given her accent and probably doesn’t trust her but also, my worry is that wouldn’t someone from Asterath recognize a runaway noble from Voxthain? Like. Alianna hides her name and stuff and probably uses a disguise so maybe not? I don’t know. She probably keeps a lot of stuff hidden from alisa
i bet alisa would have her doubts but she’s the sort of person that would need concrete proof to confirm alianna’s identity
they probably don’t really get along very well as they both suspect each other and don’t trust each other but are forced to work together? they probs argue a lot due to different ideologies and how to go about their mission?

possibly! Because while Alianna does act nicer than she is, sometimes, she also doesn’t act the best all the time. That said, she doesn’t want anyone distrusting her so she does act like she has runalithe’s best interests at heart and doesn’t isolate the squad completely because she doesn’t want people suspicious of her. She dislikes most of them but acts usually like she doesn’t, but she is probably most careful to put on a facade around alisa, and while I could see them arguing sometimes, Alianna does try and act like she respects them all and wants the magic for runalithe
and alisa would probs buy it lol
she likes to think of everyone as her friend so whilst she doesn’t fully trust alianna and is a bit sceptical sometimes, she mostly doesn’t mind her?

i can see both similarities and differences in their personalities and the fact that they both lost their parents to the shadowfog may influence their relationship

based on Sahir's character, he doesn't really have many close friends. he's the magehand and an outcast because he's into magic and that's the opposite of Runalithe belief.
maybe they can be distant friends instead? sharing a few moments here and their alone?
yeah that sounds good! alisa is quite talented with magic since she grew up in asterath but she hasn’t really told anyone due to runalithe being against magic and her trying to hide her asterath background

Unlike other members of the squad however, Alisa refuses to make Sahir an outcast and gossip about him because of his knowledge and interest in magic.

for Sahir and Alianna, what were we thinking? Alianna definitely holds all the team at bay a little because she doesn't want them to know her true intents, and she acts nicer than she is usually around them, but she does try and keep a close eye on all of them at the same time. she's a good liar, but she's maybe the slightest bit paranoid as well

@elizabeth - so far, most of the relationships i've created are nice enough to him. I want to make someone on the crew who doesn't like him for being good at magic. Alianna might not be the best but if she's a good lier, then maybe she can fake hating him and his magic to seem like she fits in with the Ruthalines? Like she gossips behind his back and intentionally ignores him forcing Alisa to give orders because he has magic? If that doesn't fit her character though that's fine.
well maybe it could? At first I was hesitant, but the thing is Alianna also used magic and is pretty decent at it because she’s secretly from Voxthain. So theoretically to drive any suspicion away from herself and her true past maybe she does shit on sahir for having/using it? (But I am confused don’t most runalithe people not use magic? Is sahir not from there?)
It was in group lore. Ruthaline was not dependant on magic and kinda despised it. But when they had to go to steal magic to stop the shadowfog, they wanted to find one of the few outcasted wizards in the city just in case they'd need magic. Sahir is used when he's needed and thrown aside when he's not.

Okay so yeah maybe Alianna just throws shade on his magic more than everyone else simply because she wants to cover up her own past and hidden uses of magic when nobody else is around. No I think that’s right I was just unaware there was a wizard at all on the runalithe squad bc it sounds so counterintuitive to runalithes entire belief system lmao

@elizabeth - yeah, he got added when they made the decision to start hard focusing magic users. ig they decided if they wanted to kill those with magic they needed someone who understood magic? that's my logic at least lol. I'll draft something formal for you to approve later cause i'm supposed be doing English homework.

Alrighty, found like 10 minutes after a test so imma try and do this.
Although she's his boss, Aliana and Sahir don't have a good relationship. While Sahir doesn't despise Aliana, he can't be sure about it the other way around. Being a 'wizard' in Ruthaline made him an outcast, and on the crew of who he hoped would be a supportive family, Aliana is the exact opposite. She gossips, makes fun of, and refuses to interact directly with the 'dirty magic user'. Aliana forces Sahir into a version of exile whenever she's around. The only time she interacts with him is to give him orders and boss him around, especially when the orders are near impossible or not even a part of his role on the crew. Even so, Sahir refuses to retaliate and give her a reason to have him kicked out of the squad, taking all of the bullying she has to offer.
How does that sound? If you like it I can make it official but I can also change it if you want.

Alrighty so, both Venus and Sapphira are Voxthain councillors who were born common folk. From my understanding, Venus was raised in a very upperclass family so she never faced hardships.
In my RP with Elizabeth between Councillor Hayden and Sapphira, there was mention of Venus. The dynamic I settled on there was just Sapphira's opinion of Venus which was basically: she's nice enough, probably naive since she never faced hardship, and she might be faking the kindness cause one person can't be that sweet.
So with that, Sappira's been on the council for 3-ish months, she's a newbie. So her relationships with all OCs are being built still. For her and Venus, I feel like they'd probably just had some quick friendly interactions so far. Nothing too deep. Maybe that was since Venus was being nice and letting Sapphira adjust before jumping into work.
As a councillor, what are Venus's main goals? I didn't see them in her profile. An example of what I'm asking: Sapphira is representing and working towards workplace rights, supporting homeless, supporting elderly; Hayden is working towards helping orphans and mothers (there's more I'm sure that I forgot on a whim).
I would have wrote more but I ran out of time cause I have to switch classes. Sorry!

Yeah so Alianna (two ns) would act nice if she had to just to not seem like she’s up to something but yeah most of the time she’d hate on sahir for his magic and probably comes up with a whole fake tragic backstory that magic harmed her family or some shit like that!
(Also yeah Cal’s for us for Council is orphans, women in general, not just mothers, healthcare, and the homeless)

Oh my gosh, yes! Venus definitely tries to get on the other councilors' good sides so they can work togeher to solve the problems Voxthians face. I can see Lala being jealous of Venus if she is friends with Lucien, but not the other way around. I'm excited to see how they interact :)
