tbh, I don't know. my new character knows that she's not, but thats bc I decided on servant and her mom is present in her life, and eadric had to probably buy both their silences somehow, idk, gotta figure that one out.
um. I feel like...that's your call, whatever you think works for alex. because eadric is not cruel necessarily, but he does care about image to a point, and thus wouldnt want that information going public
I don't know sadly. I don't have much more in mine for the wife right now other than she does love her kids, she's queerphobic, she loves eadric, puts up with what he does out of love, but who knows. maybe she has affairs herself and literally does not care about the cheating. OR, maybe she has no freaking idea somehow

not a ton, to be honest? just that she's the mother of alianna, isley, and kyleigh's wip character, and that she's the stepmother of alex and then artemisia, the one I'm working on.
and we had that she was the younger daughter of the leclaire noble family, and loved eadric, but eadric was in love with elara's older sister, alexader's mom. but they didnt wed bc the older sister needed to stay at the estate as the heir, so elara and eadrc wed instead to unify houses, as katarina refuses to marry eadric
@kyleigh our characters would have the same dad, different moms.
oh yeah, that too. but tbh, doesnt have to be, eadric has affairs for other reasons too, like his grief and the fact he is in love with her sister, and he doesnt want to hurt elara, and would respect her not wanting to be intimate or something, so he goes elsewhere

like, he loves her, maybe, respects her for sure, he would never physically hurt her or something, but like, he's not in love with her? maybe he loves her a bit, but not enough to sometimes give into bad drunken decisions

I would guess not? I’m thinking of making her a kind, naive and weak-minded person so she’d be like ‘for the sake of the child’ and still love her as one of her own? I’m guessing the sister isn’t going to be doing much loving

im guessing she does know? well, it’s not as if she’d do anything about it
alright, so, the history i had vaguely plotted involved his stepmother hating him, but that's easily changed. you're saying that she would mostly just ignore him, or possibly try to be a mother figure? sorry, i'm a little confused.
also, would it make sense for alex to feel unloved by either of his parental figures? doesn't necessarily have to be true, just feel that way for him.

um. so the character i just posted does feel kind of unloved by eadric because he knows she's illegitimate, and she's also the daughter of him and a commoner, and he pretends she's not and she feels a lot of pressure, but he does love her but doesnt know how to get over his classism to be a good father.
as for alex, he would probably love him more than her, because he loves his mother, even if he loves alianna and isley more, being his daughters

see, feeling unloved was kinda a part of his personality in my mind... although, i guess he could still possibly feel that way, since eadric prefers the girls, and bypassed alex in the secession and all. and then there is the matter of his mother, which i nee to figure that out lol.
oh really? no, eadric loves him. see, but he would love him because he loves his mother more than anyone else he's ever been with. but yeah, he does prefer his daughters, at least...well. he showers them with more affection and has more of a "they can do whatever they want" thing with them than alex, probably, but he would show alex he loved him. like he would talk to him, give him gifts, and all that, he just chose isley to replace alianna bc...honestly, maybe he was also wanting to protect alex in some way

I mean, his father definitely cares! its just complicated for him: he goes out of his way to see his daughters more, and doesnt like that alex is not his wife's son, but at the same time, he loves alex's mother anyway so its...yeah. complicated. and passed over him nonetheless because he wanted a full blooded calico on as heir, so that is another reason he chose isley, so who knows, maybe theres some bitterness, idk.
i'm working on it... so, eadric does love him, and maybe he does know that, but is also kinda bitter becasue of all that.
oh btw, i just realized: if alex and isley are the same age - were they born close enough together the calicoes were able to pretend that they were twins?i'm also thinking maybe alex found out about his real mom somehow. the question is how
so maybe alex is bitter bc of the whole mom situation? and yeah works for me about the twin pretending thing, though ask snail to be certain! and yeah, eadric does love him! but still bypassed him for succession yes
