Hannah | 66 comments Idk if it was an official date but it was the first meet with my crush!
I got to know him because he's a friend of my best friend's brother. One day we saw him riding his motorcycle and just for fun I told my friend I'd like to go with him. So she asked him and we drove a bit together.
The next day we met again. It started when it was golden hour and we had the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen. First we talked a bit and after a while he showed me how to ride the motorcycle. (It was on a random field) We also drove a bit together again. Later than when it was already dark we saw some shooting stars. It was great!! Now we're almost together.

message 9: by Benji (new)

Benji | 179 comments Back when I was living in California, weighed down by betrayal and shunned by those around me, I was a broken man walking, drifting aimlessly through the streets. I don’t remember where exactly, but I found myself near a fountain, sitting alone, on the edge of losing my mind. Pain flooded my thoughts, and I was on the brink of tears, curled up as the laughter of strangers cut through the air, mocking my despair. “How pathetic,” they sneered, their words stabbing deeper. I closed my eyes, trying to shut them out, and the noise faded as the trauma in my mind took over, playing scenes of the past like a relentless reel~memories of trauma, overseas service, marines now homeless, the conflicts, the pain.

She appeared, as if stepping out of heaven. She placed a gentle hand on my shoulder like an angel, snapping me back to reality. “Those people,” she said, her voice soft but steady, “they just want you to feel hated, lonely, and afraid to believe that someone could actually love you.” She smiled, a kindness in her eyes I hadn’t seen in so long.

“You may not know me, but I swear we’ve met somewhere before. I’m Mae.” Her voice was like a balm, soothing my scattered mind. I barely registered her words, shell-shocked by her presence.
“It’s okay,” she said, her smile growing warmer. “Let’s go grab a coffee.”

We walked to a nearby coffee shop, an unexpected solace amidst my chaos. She looked at me knowingly. “I can tell you served. Let me buy you a drink, as a thank-you.” We found a corner in a bookstore cafe, and as we talked, it was like reuniting with an old friend. Mae seemed to know things about me; small things, habits, quirks. Details that no stranger could phantom. It didn’t make sense, yet I found comfort in her familiarity.

We shared silent scuffs and giggles, a chocolate croissant, and sipped our coffee as we swapped stories about books, even the one where they all died in the end. She was a stranger, but for that brief moment, it was like I requited with a past love, maybe from another lifetime, I really don’t know… But little did she know she was reconstructing fractured wings.

Sometimes the kindness from strangers could be so impactful, we carry it inside of us as the years press on. Trudging through all life's tragedies. One step at a time.

message 13: by Ry (new)

Ry Block | 85 comments never been in a relationship at all, but in a world where I could have a perfect date, I would go to a fair where we can play games, ride fun little rides, eat delicious food, and have fun. Then we would go to a coffee shop and just talk. Play 20 questions.
Then we live happily ever after
The end :)
