kay ౨ৎ {slump era} | 161 comments Id recommend misery! It was my first book for SK, and it got me into him being one of my favourite authors. If you’re into long-ish books (like 500 pages) I’d say Billy Summers, but it’s your thing :)

Olivia Gonzalez (osgonzalez) | 204 comments Misery! That was my first SK book, and it's really well written and immerses you in the story. WAY better than the movie too (though Kathy Bates was phenomenal).

❃A.J❃ (bibliophagist) | 211 comments I started with The Shining and it was really good! If you like slow burn definitely pick that up. You can also start with Carrie which is his first book.

Kena (Hiatus) | 6 comments I started with "the girl who loved tom gordon" and I loved it. the plot is perfectly paced and it's not very horror too.
Billy summers is great too if you want to start there

message 17: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan | 1 comments If you want a classic SK - Misery, Pet Semetary or Carrie. If you want a nonnscary/thriller SK - The Green Mile, The Body (Stand By Me) or the Mr Mercedes Series.
