One dark window romance level

I'm reading one dark window and I'm in chapter 11
Is there any romance in this book?
If yes what level??
Any spice ?
Is it gonna get better because I think everything in this book so far was really simple and a mix of other fantasys
How about the second book?
I need motivation please

I'd say romance is more of a sub-plot in this first book ( I haven't read the second so I can't speak on it) Barely any spice if i remember correctly there is a seen where something happens between them tho 👀 It is a good book, in my opinion, but I didn't go into it believing it was a romantasy so your expectations may differ from mine

The second book is better but both (in my opinion) are great. Very minimal spice, but I really enjoyed the magic system/setting/vibe of that book more than anything!
