classics for beginners?

personally I like or would like to try franz kafka, jane austen, mark twain, fyodor dostoevsky, leo tolstoy, etc (ik im kinda basic 😔)

start with smaller sized classics as larger ones will likely you turn you off on the classics. Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, Treasure Island, Kidnapped, The alchemist.
Avoid Tolstoy, Jane Austen, and Dostoevsky until you get a dozen or so classics under your belt.
