Hi there! I am a passionate and supportive developmental editor for fantasy and science fiction writers. I am accepting clients at reduced rates for the period of November-January.
My regular rate is $0.017 per word, which amounts to $850 for a 50k word manuscript. Here are the discounts I’m currently offering:
November 1 - November 30, 2024: 40% off ($510 for 50k words) December 1 - December 31, 2024: 30% off ($595 for 50k words) January 1 - January 31, 2025: 20% off ($680 for 50k words)
My service includes: 2 passes of your manuscript In-depth editorial letter (~10 pages for 50k words) 60 days of post-edit support (up to 15 emails, excluding reading/editing of any new material)
I require 50% payment upfront and 50% at the completion of the editorial letter. I do use contracts to protect us both, and invoicing is done via Honeybook. At this time, I am only accepting clients based in the U.S., but that may change in the future!
