SarahKat, thank you for responding. We'll use the existing thread. I am not sure about extending Hunger Games and/or pushing back the whole series, as the request to extend the Sunrise on the Reaping was so that one buddy reader could finish it peacefully. I'll ask in the topic what other people think and will let you know. Thank you. 🙏🏻

Beth wrote: "TerryJane and I are going to continue the Moloka'i series in August with Daughter of Moloka'i (Moloka'i, #2) by Alan Brennert. Anyone who'd like to join us is welcome!..."One of my top fav.
I am going to start the Hawthorne and Horowitz series next month with The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz. I love the premise: Horowitz writes himself into the novel as a ghostwriter for "disgraced police detective Daniel Hawthorne, a brilliant, eccentric investigator who’s as quick with an insult as he is to crack a case." There are 5 books in the series; my plan is to read one a month if I like book 1. Anyone care to join me on this ride?

SarahKet: I will join Beth for book 4 and 5. Let me know if you prefer I tell you then?
Beth wrote: "I am going to start the Hawthorne and Horowitz series next month with The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz. I love the premise: Horowitz writes himself into the nov..."I'll join for book 1 and see if I enjoy it!
I've added the first 3 books of Hawthorne and Horowitz, assuming at least 1 of you who have signed up for the first book will continue, and I will join in at book 2!Lorraine, I made a note on the spreadsheet to add you in at book 4!
Updated
For October: The Final Vow by M.W. Craven. Poe and Tilly are back! The book is due out Aug 15. I thought if we plan for an Oct read people may actually be able to have it in their hands by then if they want to borrow from a library.
I thought someone suggested The Quiet Librarian for August? Did this fall through? I am not seeing it on the spreadsheet.
Jannene wrote: "I thought someone suggested The Quiet Librarian for August? Did this fall through? I am not seeing it on the spreadsheet."If it is on the spreadsheet I would like to read it too. My copy has just turned up from the library.
SarahKat, could you please push the whole series for Hunger Games one month further, like you have suggested? Thank you 😊🙏
I don't remember seeing The Quiet Librarian and doing a search now I don't see an original post. Perhaps someone suggested it and then deleted the comment before I updated?I've added it with Jannene and Cordelia for August though!
LinaVer, I've made Hunger Games a 2-month read so it will stretch into August and moved the other books back 1 month.

SarahKat, I think Beth is the one that talked about it in some threads for the books of Allen Eskens some of us were reading together. But like you, I do not think she had suggested it yet.

Oh, I missed The Quiet Librarian had been suggested. Eskens is one of my favorite authors, so please count me in for that.Otherwise, mine are good!
SarahKat, can you move The Poppy Fields to August? We're having difficulites getting a copy of the book from the library. Thank you!
Hello SarahKatI would like to suggest The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yōko Ogawa for October. Open to later months.

I’ll join Lorraine for this one.

Lorraine wrote: "Hello SarahKatI would like to suggest The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yōko Ogawa for October. Open to later months."
Oooh, another one I read within the past year and absolutely loved. This is such a sweet and lovely story. I will definitely pop my head into this thread!
Jannene wrote: "Cordelia wrote: "SarahKat wrote: "I don't remember seeing The Quiet Librarian and doing a search now I don't see an original post. I'm sure I probably did mention "hey lets read all of Eskens books!" in at least one of our buddy threads. 😅
Apologies to my Shadow of the Leviathan reading buddies, but I did put the second book A Drop of Corruption on the spreadsheet for October which I believe is what a few of us had said in the thread, but I forgot to mention it here.Anyway, it's on for October for all who can join!
