marina p.s | 6 comments I have been seeing people reading this book all over social media and I have made some research about it. Mostly everyone says that it's really depressing but that it's worth it.
I do not mind reading a depressing book because I want the book to make me feel something. However, I am worried about the TW of this book.
Has any of you read it? And if you have, do you really recomend it?

marina p.s | 6 comments they are: sexual abuse, suicide, depression, self harm, eating disorder... and much mooore, this is why I am afraid of reading it jajaja

hallie radford (hallieradford) | 5 comments i started reading this book a couple months ago and got a couple hundred pages in and had to dnf it for a while. do not get me wrong, it is beautifully written and is so good, however it made me feel really sad for a while there. please keep in mind that i am not the kind of person who gets super sad about books or their characters or anything. i want to revisit this book and finish it, but if you're going to read it you kind of have to be in the right headspace for it. it is a really sad book and the further you read the more upsetting and sad it gets. there are themes of sa, sh, assault, depression, things like that. all very real struggles that human beings have gone through. the way that it's written makes it feel as though a friend is telling you that terrible things have happened to them, which makes it even worse. I definitely think that this book is a case by case basis (it may not affect you the way it did me, etc.) so you could definitely try reading it, but don't be afraid to put it down and just give it a rest for a while. keep in mind that I am 20 years old, so I feel like i'm pretty mature enough to read this book.

Dannica (dadannica) | 127 comments Im into clean, happy, and soft Romances, but ever since i feel like i wanted to read this book, ive started reading books with TW so i'll be prepared for it. Right now, im still far from being ready to read it because the first book i read with TW (boys of tommen), i bawled like a baby. And it's not even that harsh, except the ending of Binding 13. Iykyk.

Anyone wants to buddy read it with me? :)

maddie | 108 comments id say you are old enough to choose the books you want to read as long as you are mature and made sure to check the trigger warnings and are aware of what to expect then I think it’s fine but I personally haven’t read the book but I feel like it’s more of your choice

Anushka Malik (_anushkamalik) | 63 comments I'm 27 and it triggered me so yes, the TWs are serious. The story only gets more heartbreaking and triggering as it progresses. The writing starts off as insinuating, but eventually gets veryyyy graphic. I do NOT recommend it if you're underage. Or if you feel like you have a soft or fragile heart. It's a beautifully written book and you might spoil it for yourself if you read it when you're not ready. You'll only remember the ugly parts then because they're more impressionable. Wait a few years, is my advice.

Nat_G | 161 comments I loved the book, it's beautifully written and it makes you feel as if a friend is telling you their story, but it took me a while to finish it because I had to pause every other chapter to process it, it really is a tragic and heartbreaking story and it gets worse as it progresses, so if you're not in the right headspace I'd say you wait to read it
