Joanne Keele (dreamshttpsamzneud7psqlby) | 3 comments I am new as a writer my first book is still fresh in publication, as a self publishing I guess Author I find myself noticing that most these days prefer Audio Books. I am not very tech savvy which makes this harder than it should be.

Where do I start with making my book an Audio book?

How do I go about finding a voice when funds are limited or non existent?
And if I get through all of the above whats the best way to advertise of market?

Its a mine field for some to get head around I feel like a lost Lamb with all of this.

AudioFile Mag | 2248 comments Joanne,
There's lots to learn about audio books and recording them.

Our reviews and articles on our website "AudioFile Magazine" http://www.audiofilemagazine.com is one place to look. We have a feed under in Goodreads Groups under audiobooks and lots of information on our website.

You should also check out the Audio Publishers Association https://www.audiopub.org/

Best of luck!

Joanne Keele (dreamshttpsamzneud7psqlby) | 3 comments Thank you I will look into them. Somewhere I seen someone used an AI for their audio book I wonder is it a good place to start? Are they any good? And how did you do it because I read through the rules on audible they dont allow unless on the invite list .... how do you get to be on the list?

I guess others might have as many questions as I do ... well I hope
Thank you for helping

Faith | 505 comments Most of us in this group are listeners, not authors. You won't find much positivity about AI narrators. You might have better luck asking your question in a group for authors, for example

Anya | 29 comments Personally I would never listen to a book narrated by AI. I don't even like books read by the author but if I had to choose this might be a better option.. if you can do a professional work that is.
