Finished: The Iron Heel

Review next week...too tired, must gather my thoughts!
...and move on to the next book!

Looks like you’re off to a great start!"
Just so much fun to read with a community of people! I love to hear everyone's plans...reading lists and which books were finally read. I'm a bit tired now...but time then it is time for an audio book!

Audiobooks work great for the readathon!

How many books did you read?
Read 2 books finished both of them
Clint Smith - Counting Decent - 85 pg - poetry
Jack London - The Iron Heel - 300 pg - #Sci-Fi/dystopia
Total hours participating: 12 hr. - read total 9 hours in my books.
2. Did you accomplish your goals for this readathon?
Yes, enjoy reading at least 1 book and finishing it.
Looking back, I planned too many small novellas but
decided to just concentrate on a large book.
Next time no novellas!
This year the book I finished is for November #SciFiMonth 2024.
3. How did your snacks and meals work out?
The day before the Readathon I made
Chicken Soup (lunch soup and salad)
and made Trappist Beer Stew for dinner...delicious!
No snacks.
4. Did you enjoy this readathon?
Yes, readathon's force me to plan ahead, my books and get all my
errands/chores (grocery shop, laundry etc) done
...so I have nothing else to do but enjoy my books
I did not read into the late hours of the night. I was not
prepared to upset my "sleep" for a few more hours of reading.
5. Will you be continuing your readathon reading past the end of our official readathon?
Yes. I would like to use the "Readathon method" next month on 1 or 2 Saturdays if I can manage it. I like the planning and the concentraed reading blocks.
I do take notes while reading on my laptop. That takes time but I need some reminders about what I read for my writing a blogpost.
Also I can use my Personal Readathon Log on Goodreads group to track my progress if I create my own "readathon" Saturdays.
I agree that finding what works whether long or short or fiction or nonfiction or some good mix is important to figure out. This is part of fun and part of reading practice. We keep changing and those things change too. Loving the journey!

Thanks for your comment...see at the Readathon 2025!
