Jennifer | 55 comments The Unexpected Return of Josephine Fox (Josephine Fox, #1) by Claire Gradidge Josephine Fox has not returned to the village she grew up in since her grandfather kicked her out of the family home. In recent years, she had reconnected with her mother who she had never known. Her mother had been kicked out after Josephine's birth because she was an unwed mother who had brought shame to the family. Josephine has never known who her father was.

Now, her mother has died, but shortly before she had seen something in a paper from the village that scared her. Josephine's father was still there. Josephine doesn't know who that was, but paper in hand, she returns to the village determined to figure out which man named in that document is her father. Some people in the community do not take well to her reappearance or questions.

What lengths will they go to to protect the secrets they harbour? Does Josephine really want to know the answers to her questions? 3* The Unexpected Return of Josephine Fox
