Drace (dracenines) | 7373 comments While browsing Goodreads, I noticed an oddity on some Kindle-exclusive books. Every so often Kindle does a series of novellas by popular authors that are exclusive to Amazon platforms under the Amazon Original Stories label. I noticed that several Kindle editions in a particular series were given ISBN-10 numbers, which they should not have. Googling the ISBNs helped me to figure out that these ISBN-10s (and their corresponding ISBN-13s) belong to non-Kindle Advance Reader Copy ebook editions that were only released through NetGalley.

Staff needs to be informed that these ISBNs need to be removed from the Kindle editions, so my question is: should they be completely removed from the site, or should staff create editions on Goodreads for the Advance Reader Copies, even though they were only available through a single website?

Drace (dracenines) | 7373 comments Usually when I'm dealing with staff I have to provide very clear instructions on what they should do with an ISBN they're moving, and there's oftentimes a lot of communication disconnect between individual members, so I thought it might be a better idea to try to ask the librarians if they had any idea about it.

If there's nothing in the manual, I might let this thread go dormant until Jaclyn is back and hope she has an answer for it.
