I'm glad to hear. I did like the concept, as a whole. What's bugging me is there was also indication that her teacher turned invisible in his late teens, too. What was up with that?

I was also a bit disappointed with it, although I did rate it 3 stars, because it still felt like a quick read. But now it's been a few days since I've finished it and I seem to struggle to think of positives, so perhaps I did end up overrating it.
Yes, the teacher thing was weird and then there was some random guy on the internet who also had turned invisible.
In an upcoming book of Ann Liang's, this girl, Jenna Chen, swaps bodies with her sister. Alice's teacher was Mr. Chen; the last name is common, but could they related? And if so, do supernatural happenings run just in the family?
Another thing I noticed: This Time It's Real is set in the same universe as I Hope This Doesn't Find You, because Caz Song, the love interest in TTIR, was mentioned as an icon in I Hope This Doesn't Find You.
There's a I'm Not Jessica Chen giveaway going on now, if you think you want to enter. Ann Liang's books may not be perfect, but she has such a unique writing style, it's hard to keep away. Thanks for reading with me!
Okay. Well if you do get it, I'd love to read it with you :) I've heard book accessibility is lesser than in foreign countries as opposed to the States. Maybe it's a matter of printing? 🤔
I would love to read it with you :)Im not sure but from what I have seen it seems like you're right. There are plenty of books I have seen on Bookstagram but to get them I would have to order them online. But the library I always go to have almost every book I want to read.
Yes! Let's wait and see if August, Satvika, and Chevy will, too, then I'll make the discussion. I have to request it, so that will take a few days.
Nice! My library hasn't accepted it yet, it could take months. I can get a chapter and a half in thanks to Google Books, but we still may be waiting a while.
hey hey hey I wanted to read this time it's real too. so I'm ready to read it with y'all. also sorry for not being active 😬
Don't worry about it, life happens. Teresia just started reading, and I don't have the book yet, but if you're on a loan I suggest you make some progress.
I just finished—that was spectacular! For sure my favorite novel of Ann Liang's so far. My favorite part was when Eliza practically broke down Caz's door trying to check on him.
