Thorny query on book cover

I have a book on Goodreads (ISBN: 9781991158161) that was intended to be published last year. The book was placed on Goodreads in preparation for that and the Goodreads record included a cover image. Events however, meant that this book wasn't published (a different one was published instead).

I'm now intending to publish that original book book but need to update my Goodreads record. The ISBN remains the same however the cover is now not suitable and I need to replace it with a different cover. I know the general rule is that covers can't be deleted but I'm not sure how to proceed given that this book has not yet been published. Any suggestion?

As it was never published it is OK to remove the image, you can now upload the correct cover.
