Theater kid entering tech week- help 😭

So basically we are doing little women and I’m Jo (Yay) but I’m kinda worried cus it’s not coming out too good. It was only our third full run (for some weird reason) and everything was just really messy. We open in just one week and I don’t think we are ready. Also on top of that Rn we have an assistant director because our main director moved out of the country (!!!) right before we started rehearsals. So yea I’m just super stressed because i feel like it’s my fault that the show isn’t as good and also it might be my last time to do theater because they aren’t doing another play. And on top of that none of my friends are coming which I don’t really care about that much but it just kinda hurts. I think there is only gonna be like 100 people a night anyways so ig it doesn’t matter if it sucks but it’s just rly stressful

aw im so sorry that it isn't going well :( as someone who's done community theater before, just remember that whatever happens, most of the audience won't realize if you made a mistake or not because they haven't seen the script or stage directions. And an audience of 1 is still an audience, so no matter how many people there are, just do your best and maybe ask the other performers if they need help running through lines or something. i hope your performance goes well!

I’ve definitely been there. Just try to spend whatever free time you have practicing, and try to take good care of yourself and your voice. If you’re rlly stressed just try to take a break because theatre is supposed to be fun :)
