The ending isn't a morally right one. Tricia had killed Dr. Hale and ethane had killed his mom. They both together killed Luka in order to keep him quiet and they buried him in their own very garden. Thus word never gets out about what both of them did and they live happily with their daughter.

But if ethan were to utter even a word of what they did, it was mentioned Tricia would kill him too. Afterall she said "The only way two people can keep a secret is if one of them is dead"
