**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though. I will use the team leader as a point of contact if needed.
Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.
PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 13, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

Hi everyone! My name is Allie and I live in North Carolina so Eastern time zone. My favorite romances to read are RH/Why choose or dark romances but I do enjoy reading a romance that is on the light side to give myself a break. I will try anything at least once if it's new to me. I also read mystery/thrillers and horror when I need to give myself a break from romance. This is one of my favorite challenges to participate in! I can't wait to see all of the new books we will all discover. Has anyone thought of any possible team names? I'm not great at coming up with them lol

What kinda authors do people like? Just for certain tasks such as same author different book etc
Some of my favorite authors are Abby Jimenez, Elle Thorpe, Kat Singleton and Nikki Castle.

Here is our first task! Task 1 - 0. Read a book that is MPG Paranormal or a books that has both black and orange on the cover, teams decide.
October is wonderful in many ways - fall weather, football, pumpkin spice and especially Halloween! As a team decide whether you will read books that are MPG Paranormal or books with both black and orange on the cover, then each teammate reads a book that matches the team’s decision. To qualify as MPG (main page genre), on the main page of the book under the precis, there is a section that says "Genres". Anything listed under that section is counted as an MPG. You may use anything that shows when you click 'more', but not if you click 'show all'. For books to qualify under the cover color option, both black and orange need to be on the cover. The selected covers do not have to be primarily black and/or orange, but both colors must be present on the cover. You can use any edition’s cover to qualify your book. If in doubt, please ask.
Mine would be orange and black but I’ll go with paranormal
Hi Team 13, Shia never checked in and has been removed from the team. Going forward, you will be a be a of three and tasks will be adjusted as needed. I can guarantee, I will forget to adjust a task - probably more than once. Please reach out if that happens and I will correct. 😊
I am honestly good with whatever the team picks. Does anyone have a specific book choice for this?

Sorry! I didn’t read the whole thing. 3 star rating. Kind of sucked that they talked about Morgana solving a previous murder, without any information about the previous murder since this was book 1 in the series. Does someone want to let her know we finished since she isn’t really following every group?

Tiffany, I'm confused. You said in one message that you didn't read the whole book, but in your completion post, you didn't mention that this was a DNF. (There are instructions in the Q&A about DNFs.)
I am just going to go ahead with this as a completion, but please check that info if you run into another book you don't feel you can finish.

Review: Wow. There were so many twists and turns in this book. From beginning to end you were surprised. Every chapter you learned something knew and thought you figured out who the killer was then you get to the end and you are shocked. This was a great read

Two things. First, you didn't include the first edition Kindle page count (247). Second, nonfiction books do not qualify for this challenge.
I am going to overlook that, just this once, and assign your next task. Please remember though:
There is a 150 page minimum for books, rereads and audios ok. Books may only be used once per player during the challenge. Players may read the same book for a task unless otherwise specified. Books do not have to be romance, but must be fiction.
