My reading has slowed lately due to a stomach bug that knocked me for a loop Thursday. Yesterday was the first day I’ve felt human since getting sick. I did no reading whatsoever over the days I was unwell. Starting my first of both books today.

I’m on holiday break this week so I am fully committed to reading two books for this still!

I’m so sorry I’m behind on mine. I have just felt horrible all week and unable to focus on reading much. I’m still good for two books but can’t say for sure when I’ll finish. Maybe by Sunday?

The books are fast reads for me, I just need to feel okay to read. Woke up with a really bad headache today but hoping to get some reading done this afternoon. Am halfway through the first of the two books and hope to finish that one tonight.

With the challenge ending on Sunday, December 8th, there will a minor change to the last task. Beginning on Friday, December 6th, when teams post their completions and get a new task, they will all get the same task - except for the final teams racing for the win. Those teams will all get the same task, but a different one from the other teams so they will not be able to prep in advance for the dash to the finish. For this task, instead of just completing it, you will continue reading to add to the total number of books read for your team. There will be no passes for the last task and to complete it, every team member must complete a book for the task and contribute to the overall book count. So, the task is considered ‘completed’ when every team member has read one book for the task, but you can continue reading in order to increase your overall book count for the task in case that is needed for a tie breaker. In the event that two or more teams are tied based on the number of tasks completed, the team with the highest book count will win The Amazing Race Team Challenge!

Is there a country you would prefer?

Off the top of my head I know I have Singapore, Australia, and Canada. But only one of each.

For UK, I can listen to some Hamish Macbeth. I can do at least 2, and maybe 3 if LaurLa doesn't have an extra.

oh never mind … one of my books takes place in the UK so I’m good with that. I just didn’t think I had one that worked for this task and my library limits are all capped so I wasn’t sure I’d be able to wrangle something. But, I have something I forgot was a UK setting until I just read the synopsis.

I'm on page 1! I only figured out my book last night in bed and have been at work all day. Sadly, it's not an audio book.
