TART10 - Who needs Rum when there's Wine (1)

Task 1 - 0. Read a book that is MPG Paranormal or a books that has both black and orange on the cover, teams decide.
First call
what do we want Paranormal or black and orange cover?
My vote Paranormal...only cause I think it's easier to find quickly

I can find a book for either but orange and black on the cover would suit me best

Dead Serious Case #1: Miz Dusty Le Frey
since it works with another challenge.
I don't usually get to read much on the weekends, but hoping to get some in tonight when the hubs is gone for a couple hours.

Ok, I’ll be reading Ghostly Death by E.M. Leya
Pages: 190. ~ Kindle first edition, August 2024

ReviewLoved it.
I recently read a book or series that kinda had the same set up, but this felt different too.
I liked that our detective followed his own path, and wasn't led to much.
It was a fun read, and I look forward to reading more.

Re-read. Wanna proceed in the series, but had to reread to refresh my memory

Rating/Review: 4 stars -- good fun, and a nice addition to the series. Could have been fleshed out a little more, and was almost insta-love, but loved it

Review: The world building was incredible. It's almost a mix of World War Z and I Am Legend sprinkled with romance.
Though the story and action was top tier, I did feel all the characters felt more like older teens than adults in their 20s who are living through an apocalypse. They're all quite cheerful and very noble which isn't a bad thing but it had the feel of YA.

Do you know how to copy the link of a msg post?
You can just list names then the link to their completion post.
If you press on the time stamp of a msg post a little menu should come up with an option to copy link. Tap the copy link, then paste it in your new post next to the persons name
Example
Diane https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Jessica https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
OR you can create one post with everyone’s completed post links listed….then Post Kat a link to your created post containing everyone’s completion link

Loving this series. A close group of teenage friends are being killing, one by one. Figured out the killer very early, but kept intrigued as to how it was done. Looking forward to the next book!

You need to have source for pages… GR or Amazon
If you get it off Amazon, you need to include the link to the Amazon page for Kat to verify everything is correct.

You should add source of pages, GR or Amazon. It’s usually GR, it sometimes we have to get the info off of Amazon

Please correct to the first edition Kindle page count (333). Thanks.
If there is a Kindle page count on GR, please use that. If there isn't one, you can use an ebook page count or link to the Amazon Kindle page count.

Honestly, links are welcome but it you just say in the Q&A "Team 1 is ready for a new task" - I will go check. I'm not particular. 😊

Task 2 - 9. Each player reads a book in the same series, teams decide. No pass for this task.
As a team, select a series listed on GR and everyone reads a book in that series. (Does not have to be a numbered series.) Please include the selected series in your completion posts. Teammates can read the same or different books for this task. No pass for this task.

Review Pretty cute. I kinda like the super hero figure that can't use his powers or it brings him closer to death theme.
And trying not to use powers you know can save someone, would be hard.
How it qualifies: Series chosen Subpar Heroes

I rushed to finish it last night before, so I could get a new task for the zombie challenge...and then I forgot to post my completion post to the main thread. So I don't have a new zombie call. =(

It's an individual challenge
Walking Dead Challenge

I think you can join any time.
Each time you post a completion post, a few hours later your given a new task.
Got lucky. I posted my completion from yesterday, and the host took pitty on me and didn't make me wait until tomorrow for a new category.
sorry...don't know if you shouldn't post about another group or not. But I always find my challenges for this group from members in another group.

Enjoyed reading this Supbar story and whirlwind adventure between these two. Both had weird unlucky powers, yet they made it work. Overall and OK read.

I feel like if a book is going to be stupid, it needs to also be really funny, but though I had a few chuckles it wasn't enough to carry this story. It also felt very rushed and I didn't get enough information about the world to understand what was going on. This book also had one of the most disturbing death descriptions I've ever read.

I'm always looking for new challenges. May have a slight addiction honestly 😂 will have a look at this later

Task 3 - 6. Read 4 books with fewer than 500 reviews.
Books qualifying for this task need to have fewer than 500 reviews (not ratings). You can find this information on the main book page under the title. Please include the number of reviews in your completion posts. If your selected book might have over 500 reviews before the task is completed, i.e. it is a newer book or has over 490 reviews already, a screen shot might be advisable.
