TART10 - Who needs Rum when there's Wine (1)
Storm. No power. No coffee. I’ll wait a couple hours till daylight and hope it’s back on…otherwise I’ll venture into town for WiFi and coffee
Here is your next task!Task 17 - 68. Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books with one word titles.
Books selected for this task need to have one word titles, articles and exclamations included. So books such as NautiCal would work, but books like The Thief would not. Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count.
Well, no escape. Tree down with power line blocking only access for this neighborhood. Waiting for power dudes to show up with chain saws and all. So I’ll just bundle up here . And hope things are up again before I go insane. I f***ing hate living in the countryside.
Ok, I still have Downtime loaded on my kindle from SH. I’ll reread that one…504 pagesThank goodness I recharged my kindle before bed last night. Going offline now to save battery 😉
Power finally on, yay! Apparently it was more than one tree blocking the road. Finally hot coffee, next on agenda, hot shower!

Review
A very sweet historical romance. Modern day FBI agent gets zapped to the past 1888 London, and can't resist temptation to solve the Jack the Ripper mystery. The story is a bit slow moving, but everything, especially the characters really become entrancing. I wanted to beat Agent Morgan across the head, for being so dense and selfish at times. But it was his lesson to learn in this story.

Review: Salem was such a stubborn guy and instead of being thrilled to find out he had a dragon mate, was scared and very resistant, thanks to an important job as a pediatric surgeon and a history of very bad relationships. Gregori was the sweetest dragon, though, and left the clan to follow him home to woo him. It was a very sweet ending to the series.

Review: This had so much potential but I found it underwhelming. The plot was interesting but I didn't love the characters and all around I felt this book lacked personality.

Here is your next task!Task 18 - 90. Each member reads a book published in sequential months, i.e. June, July, August and September 2019. Teams decide which months. No pass for this task.
Books selected for this task need to be published in sequential months. The months can cross over from the end of one year to the beginning of the next. You will be using the initial publication date for this task. If there is a date at the top of the editions page, use it. Otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the selected dates in your completion posts.
It would be great if I could take September, April or February. How about we all name 2 or 3 months we'd like and work it out from there?Books I hope to read in the next 48 hours:
A Nobleman's Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel September
Dead Reckoning February
The Mastermind April
I have 3 as well that I can read:January -- The Trouble with Trying to Love a Hellion
April -- SOS Hotel: Friendly Sanctuary for the Fiendishly Fabulous
November -- Rise
I’m flexable. But my top 3 choices are for what I have planned to read soon 1. Feb
2. September
3. November
But willing to read any month that is needed

How about:December -- Dee
January -- Diane
February -- Skye
March -- Jessica or Dee
April -- Jessica or Dee
Dee, can you find something in those months?
No to Dec!January -- Diane
February -- Skye
March -- Jessica
April -- Dee
I’ll go find an April book now

Or March Dee cz I really need to read The Mastermind by tomorrow night anyway
Couldn’t find a good sci-fi with enough page count for April, so cowboys it is.
Jessica take back March to read your 2024 book.Task says “ Books selected for this task need to be published in sequential months. The months can cross over from the end of one year to the beginning of the next”.
But we can not jump around in years!!
Ok …we need to regroup. I can do ANY month in 2024.Who is doing what month in 2024?
Jessica has a MARCH 2024
Diane has an APRIL 2024
Skye ….is your FEB book a 2024?
Can you do a 2024 book for Jan, Feb, May, or June?
Which ever month you pick I can fill in the needed month
Good thing you noticed that Dee. I can go through the New Release folders to pick something if need be, no problem.
Diane wrote: "Good thing you noticed that Dee. I can go through the New Release folders to pick something if need be, no problem."I saw you had the SOS Hotel for April 😉
Ok, I have fast reads picked out for Jan Feb May and June. Now we just need Skye to make a decision.
I finally got to hop back online for a min. I don't get off work for another hour. Glad you guys are on it.I'm very happy with Feb.

This starts with Jan 2024
Found it. But couldn't search for it. Had to find a book on the list, and then click on the list from there.Frustrating.
But I found the 2024 February list. And I'm still happy with it. There's more than 1 on there I want to read.
I'm about to be booted off the computer. But I get off soon and will find a suitable book
