alex gonzalez navarro (gay_bassi_blues) | 8 comments Hey! i just joined goodreads and im still figuring it out but i just really like lgbtq+ books. i like romances and plots based in action, supernatural stuff, or science fiction! my type is a VERY specific taste but im not against broadening my horizons. i once read 17 books in one summer (which is a lot for me) and i once read so much in a continuous sitting (i was 11 with adhd, so thats memorable) that i hurt my neck and couldnt bend it down. it was indeed the Percy Jackson series. i like books with sad endings, happy endings, open endings and i LOVE books that will ruin you and leave you for dead (We are the Ants being one)

i know this was a little long but if you find or know anything i might like, send it my way!

CJ | 60 comments Hi and welcome! I'm an older queer and auDHD person, but this group has a lot of members your age as well. I hadn't heard of We Are the Ants before--thanks for mentioning that, it looks interesting and my library even has it, so I will have to check it out.

alex gonzalez navarro (gay_bassi_blues) | 8 comments Also not to deceive anyone, I did alter my age to access any specifically gay groups due to the lack of luck I had finding any on my own. But literally none of them allowed anything under 18. Sucks for me. If anyone has any recommendations on mlm books that focus more on the romantic side. If they have trans rep I would LOVE that

I'm 16 and I can't find anything that represents me that I haven't already read and is to my taste. So I've had to bend some aspects of my online persona to find them unfortunately. No harm meant.

alex gonzalez navarro (gay_bassi_blues) | 8 comments Though We are the Ants genuinely made me ball my eyes out and it's not a book for the weak. It's beautifully written and takes a good look at difficult home lives and thr struggle of being gay and mentally ill. 5/5 STARS

Sage (semi-inactive bc school) | 7 comments Hey Alex, welcome! I've had We Are the Ants on my want-to-read list for a while now. By the way you described it, it seems like a great book for me! And maybe I should put it higher on my list. I hope I won't cry my eyes out too much while reading it, though!
