Yeah. At least the Hoopla books my library system have can't be sent to Kindle. Which is a shame, because ebooks are so much more readable on Kindle. *shrugs*

I finished it! it was Soo good!
I feel like the ending could've been better, but I still loved it!! absolutely adored the fae assassins, and the whole storyline! and the setting was just *chef's kiss* I loved the fall vibes, the yarn and stitch knitting club, and just EVERYTHING about it!!

Really?? Thats one thing that really threw me off! It felt too feminine to me. Cress was cool, but Cressica? Eh. Just me tho!

You guys! If any of you follow Jennifer Kropf, then you saw this already, but she just posted on IG and it’s pretty funny. She posted yesterday, I think, that she might “unalive” one of the characters in the final book. I knew it wasn’t a super serious post, but it did make me wonder who was going to die, and I was pretty surprised that in a rom-com she would actually do it.

Well, today she posted that it was a joke but that she got inundated with PMs and posts regarding it. Apparently many of her fans didn’t get the joke and were not happy that she would take out one of these characters.😅

Now, she’s not guaranteeing not to, but she just wanted everyone to know it was a joke.

That last part wasn’t reassuring….

I've now read four chapters. I'm still interested, although the writing isn't the best.

First off: faeborn. Not only is this word used a ridiculous number of times, but I'm not sure if it's even used consistently. Also, it feels (at least for the most part) like it's supposed to be a swear word, or something, but... why would the fae use faeborn as a swearword? It doesn't make sense.

Another thing is the amount of times Cress' turquoise eyes were mentioned. This is rivaling Powerless for number of eye color mentions lol. And to make things worse, it's in his POV. Which... why? Things like that pull you out of a character's POV, and, to an extent, out of the story. Or at least that's how I feel about it.

@Bella—I didn’t really like Cress because he’s so arrogant and doesn’t get a lot of development. Maybe his turquoise eyes are mentioned during his pov to demonstrate his arrogance?? I don’t remember the context, so it’s just a guess.

I mean, it could be for that, but it still felt weird. Like, you can mention them when he's looking at his reflection, but to mention him turning his burning turquoise eyes, or whatever, on someone, while in his pov felt... off. Even if he is arrogant about his looks, it just doesn't seem right. And then to mention them like twenty times in one chapter. (Alright, that might be a bit of an exaggeration lol)

I also had as a hard time picturing "turquoise" eyes for dinner reason. At one point I just choose a brilliant robins egg blue (a rare shade of turquoise) instead of a pale teal... Idk I got there eventually!!
