Jan (Kavanagh's wifey) (jann_) | 232 comments Me and my bestie have been frnds for 10 years and we were inseparable until she joined some classes/academy and made new frnds and we're just drifting apart. It's not like I don't want her to make new frnds, it's just that she wouldn't listen to anything I wanna say and would just talk about her new frnds and boys. I told her to focus on studies, not boys, but she just shrugged me off (and we're having exams from next week). Other than that, she's become mean as well, she wouldn't take anything I say seriously and she keeps thinking that she's always right and I'm always wrong. She's somehow making me feel like I'm toxic but ik I'm not. What should I do about this?? I'm feeling very upset.

felicitas | 36 comments I would definitely try to talk to her, explain what’s bothering you, and see if you can work things out. However, if she makes it clear that she doesn’t want to talk, doesn’t listen, or refuses to take you seriously, she’s not worth the effort. Throwing away a 10-year friendship and treating you poorly just because she has new friends is unfair and shows where her true priorities lie. You deserve friends who genuinely appreciate and value you.
